OT: Chip Kelly will be fired soon. Can we benefit from it?

I'm hoping that we can poach some of their recruits. I know that we have been in contact with 2 of them.

Also, I wonder if the new HC will honor Karson's scholarship. There were no discussions of him being a track only athlete at UCLA so I'm not sure that thats on the table/if a scholarship is available for just that. But I think it'll work out in the end.

I learned long ago be careful what you wish for …

But watching BSU/AFA, I really think I’d rather play AFA. Banged up, sliding … on 4th string QB, They’re tough to prepare for, but we topped off our prep recently. They’re inflexible, what are they going to do, a wrinkle or two? Throw a ton?

Ok the other hand, I think we are better than Boise, but that interim deal could work for them. We’ve tackled one on one pretty well, but they’ve got some runners with moves.

Screw it, whatever happens happens.

Just win tomorrow.

Biggest game in program history (Part III of the trilogy)

While it could be argued that the past two weeks were the biggest game history, I think it would be hard pressed to argue against this one. Conference championship game and the ability to get to 10 wins are as big as it gets. Then you add in the fact that conference realignment is so prevalent currently and I don’t think you could argue otherwise.

As for the game, going to be a tough matchup. Boise St is talented and playing their best football, but if we can stay away from mistakes, I think we can win. So excited to see UNLV playing in a conference title game. Always thought we had potential to get there, just never thought it would happen.

Whose fault is it?

Regarding Keylan's transfer. Is CKK more at fault or is Keylan more at fault? Keylan was part of the 2019 class so that means he's been in college for 4 years. Add in summer sessions that college athletes are required to enroll in and thats at least 11 semesters of coursework that he should have completed. Even more if OK State and Pacific have 2 summer sessions.

Why has he not graduated yet? I understand that life happens, but....

When he committed, it was supposed to be smooth sailing or the staff wouldn't have gone so hard after the twins. Also, I know this was discussed before briefly, but CKK's answer to the media about Keylan playing with Kalib for their final seasons as the reason for a waiver was a joke. I still cant believe he said that. Feels like CKK dropped the ball on this one.

MW Championship scenarios

Was posting in another thread about this, but found a tweet that answered my question. If AF beats Boise, UNLV is in W or L. If Boise wins, we have to win to play in the game.

Makes it hard to know who to root for Friday (sort of). If AF wins, we are guaranteed a spot. Not only that, SJSU has nothing on the line. That being said, I’d personally rather play Boise since we haven’t played them this season.
