Any Recruiting Nees?

Watching this season unfold reinforces the fact that our coaches over the years, with the exception of Rice, have really underperformed in this area, especially given our history and facilities. Almost like coaches knew UNLV was a place to go earn a paycheck and not have any real pressure to win. That’s obviously not the case but I’ve grown quite weary of watching MWC teams run out players more talented than ours and/or playing like a cohesive unit. I don’t think we’re being delusional fans in expecting to have top level recruiting within the MWC, not given our competition, history, City and facilities. Just seems like a flat out failure over many years in this regard. Am I wrong? Am I asking/expecting too much?

OT: NFL playoffs..

Alright ladies and gentlemen, it’s that time of the season. I haven’t even looked but I know my Dallas Cowboys face Tom Brady in the first round.

Dallas is a freakin’ mess AS usual heading into the playoffs.

Knowing history, Duck Presscot is going to literally throw this game away.

on the other side, we have the GOAT, TB12.

We know the refs like to rig it for TB12. Even with the advent of instant replay, cameras EVWHERE in the stadium, they’ll still do it

I see this as an automatic W for the Goat.

the other teams..I don’t care, I don’t follow them as closely.

Who are your teams heading into the playoffs..or lack of playoffs?

FireKruger.com

Is that web address still available? Lot's of unhappy fans because of the record.

We have a good team -

Just wait - I think it gets better.

I cant wait until the BIG GUARD matches up with Matt Bradley and introduces himself -- the Future of the MW - he is a player - He has SWAG - we have a team

Ya better schedule some time off during Championship Week.

Happy Humpday

After seeing everyone else in this league play a couple of times

Is it just me - or do you see this conference, no matter how many teams end up in the NCAAT, as struggling in post season once again?

Whether SDSU or UNM are “the best”, or whoever else you want to put in that category … I don’t care what rating they may have achieved at some point of the season … they all look extremely beatable by mediocre squads. Not to say they can’t play well and win, but seeing how incomplete and non-semi dominant they are.

Distant past, you know SDSU was pretty damn good. Same with BYU with Jimmer back then. Recent past, UNR had a pretty tough team to beat with Muss, SDSU a little bit, too. Boise has fielded some “solid” teams …

But now … I don’t know, seems like it will most likely be another o-fer NCAAT. Of course matchups and seedings come into play but in general, the top third of the league isn’t strong. Not nationally. Doesn’t look that way to me.

I guess the good part of all of that is you have a chance in every game within league. The separation may be rather large in terms of games ahead/behind or rating within conference, but the bottom doesn’t seem quite as awful and the top doesn’t look amazingly difficult.

UNR

On to the only meaningful game left in the regular season to most fans. CKK won’t lose his job with a loss but losing will begin to significantly undercut his support among the faithful, especially if UNLV is soundly defeated. I haven’t paid too much attention to UNR but the appear to have a decent team based on NET rankings. How do we match up fellas? I’m not at all confident. Sure hope we at least roll into the game 100% healthy.
