At 6'2 270 lbs Whitmore has the size to complete at the G5 level. He was in the rotation at Austin Peay. He will need to focus on his Technique and all the little things that Coach Logo will teach him. Hopefully he will Develop.

West Virginia defensive back Jaylon Shelton will enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, the sophomore announced on social media moments ago. Sources tell EerSports that he is not currently in the portal, but schools have 48 hours from being notified to putting the player into the database.

"First and foremost I want to thank the man above for blessing me with the opportunity to play college at the highest level. I also want to thank Coach Mike and his coaching staff for developing me at a high level. After talking to my family and having time to sit back and think. I will be entering my name in the transfer portal with 3 years of eligibility."

Shelton committed to West Virginia last cycle as a junior college prospect that had only played one season. He arrived in the summer and boucned back and forth between safety and cornerback through his time in Morgantown. Officially, he appeared in just one game on defense, playing two snaps against Texas Tech.

This is news to me. The current fee to leave the conference is 17 Million and goes to 51 Million in July. I guess this was something Craig Thompson did before he left office.

One thing is certain: The Pac-12 plans to expand by adding San Diego State and maybe SMU coinciding with its completion of a new TV deal. But there is a deadline. To start play in 2024, San Diego State owes the Mountain West an exit fee of about $17 million. That triples in cost July 1, a reason for a quasi-deadline to the situation.

Frisco Bowl, UNLV -4 vs UTEP. Preseason first year head coach. National guys putting expectations on their boards!

I've been told that two great matchups are going to happen. Spoke with multiple people so I think there's real smoke here, but this isn't a confirmation of it happening.

1. A Texas school is coming to T&M
2. Away game at a top WCC team not named Gonzaga (My friend is an alum of the school and said this is being finalized)

If this actually happens, plus what we already have; @Dayton + Sunshine Slam MTE, it would help us tremendously. Not only that, but it would help rile up the fanbase and attract more attention.

Maybe not absolute love but MUCH better than we’ve been predicted to finish for many years!

We just get a top local commitment not to mention national commitment and we our front page shows an article from last season STILL. There s a reason I quit paying. This is great news and nothing here to get us excited. Can we at least have a change to the front page to something more relevant? Sorry but this should be more celebratory.

I know I'm excited for next year's basketball. Does anyone have a guess about how this recruiting will increase season tickets? I can see arguments for a small increase ( 5% - 10% with a wait-and-see crowd) or a large increase. (25%+ increase with fans who come back and new fans). I'm too realistic to hope for Tark-like crowds but I'd love to see crowds like we had with CDR. A big crowd makes the experience so much better.

There is another pg in the Thomas family who will also end up a national player. Tyus Thomas who is a freshmen in high school. Potentially, there could be long term stability at the pg if DJ's time at UNLV is successful.

JoJuan Claiborne is now a Rebel. He realized that Vegas > Reno. Great stats in 2021; tallied 62 tackles, including 0.5 for loss, with one interception, one forced fumble and four pass breakups. Missed the 2022 season.

This football team Is going to be special. I would say that Bowling is the goal but I dont expect nothing less. The make up and perceptions is quite fine....Fill these positions in and how they will fair against our opponents
