Any tailgating pictures?

Your picture. in the corner right below the peppers. I was kidding of course but tell me that doesn't look like a small animal. Little ears and everything.

That said, all of the pictures look great. Buuuut, do you all get your cholesterol checked ever? Yowser.

Cholesterol? Nah..Only communists, health-care professionals and vegans worry about cholesterol.

I eat keto centric diet high protien, healthy fats and greens (started about 15 years ago) Mon-Fri. No alcohol during the week only weekends. Enjoy my bourbon and beers then. Eat what I want Saturday and Sunday. Stay away from processed carbs like breads except on weekends.

Smartest thing I ever did. Controls weight, blood sugar levels, blood pressure and cholesterol (not that I worry about cholesterol I'm not a communist)

Yeah looking at picture maybe a chipmunk?

But most definitely beef short ribs marinaded in a dry herb chimchuri..We're fancy like that.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL AND THE PORTAL

Colorado State wanted to build with Freshman. They have some transfers but, they want freshman to build a culture and grow together. This is their third year under Norvell. At the beginning of the season he talked about building from freshman and how good they were going to be this year. Right now they are sitting at 2-3. Personally, I like a good mix and I think Odom is doing that. He is barely in year 2 and you can't argue with his approach. Talented transfers give the young guys a chance to grow.

Mix is key. Have to develop young players as a 'base' and fill needs in the portal. Nice thing with the portal now is you can grab guys with 2-3-4 years of eligibility. In the past transfers typically only had 1 or 2 years and they had to sit a year.

Odom so far has done that. A number of freshman and red shirt freshman are seeing reps this year which helps for next season.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL AND THE PORTAL

We can reach pretty deeply into the portal to find those guys that are buried on better depth charts. Our roster is littered with transfer success stories.

Where would we be without Catalon, Powell, Doyle, Woodard, White, St John, Vessel, Hajj, Chavis, Grimes, and DeCambra?

We are losing a lot of seniors this year, but I have confidence that Odom can gather the next group to rebuild and be ready next season. The portal has made rebuilding much easier.

That's true. Flipside you get guys like Ricky White and others around the country that find themselves buried on depth charts and transfer down and stick around.

It will be interesting to monitor over the next few years.

We will be a development conference. Why sit on bench for 1-3 years for P4? Instead play at UNLV for 1-3 years increase your NIL money dramatically.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL AND THE PORTAL

Love it or hate it I think we may see more days with crazy results like we saw yesterday because of the portal. They rich will always be the rich but the portal has given everybody including G5s a little more of a chance. A former CUSA QB just lead Vandy over #1 Alabama.

We are see higher end prospects transferring 'down' as well.

I thought originally it would kill mid level P4 and G5 programs but it's not working out that way.

When I lived in Alabama I had a Possum getting into my garbage can. I shot the Possum and my wife got after me to eat anything I killed. I barbequed the possum and decided I'd eat it if my dog would eat it. It smelled good while it cooked and I had my courage worked up to eat it. But my dog wouldn't touch it - and he would eat nearly anything. He was the best dog ever.
That and racoon are probably the only two animals I have not eaten.

Edit: wild animals. No domesticated proteins for me.

Ricky White love

If he only played CB he's likely a 1st round pick.

As a WR only probably still gets drafted by round three. I think NFL folks value him more at DB.

But to your point he's a special player.
It’s impossible to play both sides in the NFL and stay healthy. I could see him playing cornerback and going in for certain receiver plays periodically..

That 4th and 1

I don’t suspect anyone left on our schedule will have that kind of success throwing the ball like Syracuse did. Our pass rush is still an issue, as we all saw Friday night.

But what team left on our schedule has a McCord at the QB spot? I did not think Syracuse could be that effective but the lack of pass rush was exposed big time and now will teams be able to hammer that weakness, we’ll see.

The question is, which QB left on the schedule can expose us, Schrager, Madsen, Petras, Brown, Lewis or McCoy?

I don’t think any of the names above are the threat that McCord was!
Probably only Hawaii will throw 40+ times... no one else should otherwise it likely means the game is out of hand for them.

Line ‘em up: Predictions and Game Thread Syracuse

dude, the refs literally gave that team the end zone.

Who is the ref that called it. I wanna know his name.
For the roughing call:

The area of responsibility of the QB falls directly on the white hat (the referee), or from the center judge. The only one who could have waved off that flag would be the referee. That makes me believe the flag came from the referee, though the point of attack was from the center judge’s side.
