Why none of this may matter.

The relegation system WOULD actually be sort of fun and make things way more interesting. Obviously we don’t have stupid sports (I kid)like soccer here in ‘Merica, so I don’t know a whole hell of a lot about it other than what I’ve learned from Ted Lasso, but it could be fun as shit to watch.

I'll block you if you support this Euro trash soccer adjacent communism. My God man this is what the French do!

He released the ball so quickly that most of the time (70%?) there was no way to get to him before he threw the ball. He was taking what our defense was giving. When we did shut down the initial pass lane is when he was gettable (but still completing well above 50% of his passes)
If Holy Cross could get 5 sacks, we should have been able to pressure him better than what we did!

Why none of this may matter.

According to this it would be just the current four power conferences (is that 70 teams?) and would eliminate any future games vs group of 5 teams. So that would be the death knell for us and other programs if no chance to move up. Fans aren't paying, not in Vegas, to see us play Montana State.

I saw a similiar model with like 8 regions (Basically Group of 8). Power conferences would be aligned similarly. Then there would be yearly relegation. Top of each region replaces bottom of 'upper' division region. Basically conference affiliation wouldn't exist anymore.

It sucked but at least there was some path up.

I was so pissed I deleted my recording the second they scored the TD in OT. But am curious how often they blitzed. I don't remember it if they did, it was successful vs FSU.

There is a difference

Why was Walz at the game?
That's game perhaps the best football game of the year. The P4 teams may not admit it. Every UNLV players lay it all on the field. Jackson Woodward absolutely given everything he got. Helluva football game.

Edit: Walz is a football coach and a teacher before everything else. Cannot imagine a better football game to watch that weekend.

Yes he has high IQ but we still could have pressured him, hit him or at least got him off his comfortable spot?

We didn’t and it looked like 7 on 7 out there most of the evening for him!

If they go to a regulation system it won't be a conference format but more of a regional format.

Syracuse doubled us in time of possession. Was that all due to bad clock management? No. Special teams plays, plus honestly our offense almost being too efficient (7 yards per play), meant our D was on the field for a long long time..what do tired Defenses do? Drop picks, fail to complete tackles, etc. That is what we saw. Our D was simply worn out.

Lastly, why did we not go for it with 23 seconds left and 3 timeouts. We needed 40-45 yards for a shot at 3. Why didn't we get some attempts in? That, I think, was a mistake. Also, before that, coach should have burned atleast 1 timeout on Cuse final drive with our D sucking wind. Easy to say now though. Our team battled. This team is legit good. Now let's go beat USU and go from there. Beat USU and Oregon St. And we'll be on the doorstep of the top 25 again with a massive home matchup against Boise. Lets get there.
Should have absolutely called a TO after the 1st down inside the 10. They would have likely had at least a minute if not more to work with. He isn’t too savvy with clock management ie end of Kansas 1st half
