Remember the drama in Laramie?

I'm not sure if anyone is still interested in this, but I just talked to several people last night and they broke down everything that happened between Anderson, Kyman, Agbonkpolo, and Coach Linder that led to the trio leaving Laramie. I was shown videos, texts, etc. Im a part of youth sports in LA so I hear a lot of things but hearing it firsthand and seeing the proof shocked me.

All of this will come out soon. I just wanted to give those that were still wondering an update. It is not my place to deliver someone else's stories/experiences but just know that the whole story will be out and it will not look good for Wyoming.

Early 2024 Recruiting L

I'm back with more recruiting tidbits and hope to be able to provide exciting and reliable news like I have before. Apologies that I can't sometimes go in full depth, but its for obvious reasons.

Micah Alejado from Gorman committed to Hawaii over us. He's from Hawaii so they had pull from the beginning of the process, but it sucks to lose out on a Gorman recruit, especially since Hawaii is by no means much better than us and a lot of his teammates are interested in staying home.

But here is the not so good part about all of this; He took a visit to UNLV after he was personally offered by Marion. Then took an OV to Hawaii and came back and visited UNLV twice more and still committed to Hawaii. 3 visits to UNLV in 3 months and we couldn't seal the deal.

This isn't a knock on the current staff, but being there in person during the visits made me feel like we weren't all hands on deck when he was on campus. Maybe we cooled off on him, Idk what it was but still...

NIL's

We love to talk about how NIL's will be the best way for us to go forward. I'm sure they'll help, but sometimes not. Below are Nijel Packs stats for his college career. He transferred from K-State to Miami. HIS NIL WAS $800,000 FOR TWO YEARS (AND A CAR). At Miami he didn't do anywhere near as well as he did at K-State. Miami is playing tomorrow night - but not because of him. He's tied for fourth in scoring on the team. Third in assists. 5th in rebounds. A good player, but not that good.

Pepperdine guard Mike Mitchell Jr. (1) drives past UCLA guard David Singleton (34) during the first half of an NCAA college basketball game Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2022, in Los Angeles. A source says Mitchell is considering the possibility of entering the transfer portal, which could be a boon for UNLV if coach Kevin Kruger and company can lure the rising star to Las Vegas.

Transfer Portal=mid majors

Are we seeing the transfer portal starting to show a benefit towards mid-majors/ non power schools? Look at who is currently still in the tournament. That’s teams have benefitted from the transfer portal also have players who are older and more experienced. SDSU has 4 guys who are 5th year players. Gonzaga is another one. I also think the extra Covid year has benefitted teams outside of the blue bloods because they are still recruiting the 5 star HS kids who are still 19yr olds. Already starting to see people complain about the blue bloods not being in it right now and how the tournament is diluted right now. Could see this year being a focal point for them starting their own tournament. Also what a golden opportunity for who is still in it… no number one seeds left in the elite 8, makes it a legit shot to make it to the title game.
