Wow, Just Wow

According to Mike Grimala we spent $400k this year on DJT. I don't blame DJT for taking what he could get but I would expect a PG getting $400k to be able to push pace and get us 7 or 8 assists per game. I suspect a booster fell in love with DJT and directed his NIL towards him and in the end it was to the detriment of the roster construction.
Probably could have done a lot better with $50k for 4 good players and not had junk at the end of the bench when the injuries set in.

Mike Grimala blocked me?

How many basketball players can block a bullet? It is only a game and produces nothing but entertainment, but in the cases of college athletes, we are paying them more in some cases than professional franchise athletes even while they are not good enough to even be on the bench at pro teams.
It's because there are no caps and no contracts. Complete wild west. Pro sports would be even worse if there were annual free agency for everyone and zero salary caps. In a few years every World Series would be the Yankees vs. the Dodgers. Every Superbowl the Cowboys against the Patriots. Etc.

Mullen’s contract not fully covered

Maybe, but the BOR is a lot more harsh towards UNLV than Reno. They are very critical of leadership, finances, and they like to use UNLV to thump their fiscal chests while funding UNRs pet projects. UNLV has overtaken Reno as the states premier institution and they hate that.

I've only been a Regent for two months and from what I've seen, the issue is, UNLV's financials is always off and they cannot answer questions when asked or explain things clearly, its simple as that really. I love UNLV overtaking Reno as the premier institution because it is. Also, BOR arent allowed to meet in private because of open meeting laws, everything you see on the livestreams is pretty much it

Are there any developments behind the scenes yet?

I'm pretty sure I was at that game in 98. The crowds had way more energy than most of the crowds these past years 5-6 years.
Yea i could not afford to go much or had the ability to get there at that time in my life but one of the greatest moments was going from NON_FANS yelling Dickhole you suck and then his bye his Senior year the whole building yelling M.V.P

If things are that bad behind the scenes, how long can we expect Harper to stay here?

I just don’t get this dragging out, unless the decision is to keep him?

If boosters are upset, then money has been discussed before now and there must be some cold feet by some?

With the President stepping down suddenly, I wonder is Harper next to leave?

I hope not because that would more than likely leave Kevin in place, with a new person or persons in the President chair and the AD.

I sure hope Harper stays because if not, I could see all of this come tumbling down, football included!

"............many Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers.........."

But how many Lawyers can slam dunk in the face of a 7'2" defender?

I sat next to a man from Utah last night. ( UTE supporter just in town to watch BB ) He hasn't been to the T&M since the Conf Tourn game in 1998 where a Bayno team edged out Utah. He couldn't believe there were so few Rebel fans last night. Had him shaking his head. He remembers the '98 game as nearly full with wild and raucous fans. Then he talked about how Utah can't draw a crowd either.
