We've jumped from the 120's to 77. It looks like the lowest rated team in KenPom to make the NCAA tourney last year as an at large was 45th. ( this is because there are 31 automatic selection that go to Conference tourney winners - note: the number don't add to 68 because some conference winners were also at large bids) ) There are currently 5 MWC teams in the top 45. SDSU, CSU, USU, RENO, NM.( NET rankings are similar with these teams in the top 41) We have 6 more games against this set of teams. Win four of them and we're in decent shape, as long as we beat the conference cupcakes.

I know it is really early in the recruiting, but it is kinda cool that UNLV is ranked #30 at least for now!

Hall was more well rounded with the ball in his hands but Whaley is a fierce competitor, especially defensively!

Osobor goes 11-13 Free throws against us but 5-11 against NM. Sometimes it just sucks to be us.

I'm not expecting 10,000 frantic students at every game. But I would love to see 3,000. (Not the 300 we get) I understand we aren't a traditional school in that many of our students work nearly full time as well as go to school. But they all don't. I'd be surprised if we don't have 10,000 traditional students. Why we can't get them to either football or especially basketball I just don't get. How about drawings at the 8:00 minute T.O in the second half. First place: 1 semester tuition. Second place: $ 500 weed coupon at a selected dispensary. And $ 300 gas coupon for third. There has to be some way to get students to games that have FREE tickets.

It just looks way off to me. Grim has been a mouthpiece for UNLV, never criticizes, always rah rah; always team Scarlet and Gray. Cooks with players and rides around golf carts.

If he’s in UNLV’s pocket, so to speak … why the inflammatory remarks? He had to know it was going to get attention. Was it UNLV planted to put UND on public notice? Was it the truth as he knew it but for some reason, he let this one fly when he’s kept tight lipped about other controversial type of info in the past? Did this come from the White camp to try and get more from UNLV and if so, why would he pick that party over UNLV? Has he been feeling slighted because everybody from 8 years old and up can be an expert on social media and he wanted to stir up some clicks?

Maybe I’m reading too much into it - but it’s only because it was very uncharacteristic on many fronts to me.

Our adjusted offense is 3rd. But our adjusted defense is 7th.

I never would have thought it was defense that was hurting us so much.
