I'm back with some football news and notes!!!

Freshmen:
1. ATH D'Angelo Irvin has turned a lot of heads. Twitchy and very fast. Great hands. Will see the field a lot this Fall. We are very lucky to have flipped him from Air Force. Our BEST freshman by far. Think LaMichael James but in the slot.

2. Darrien Jones is our best freshmen RB. Very big and strong for a freshmen back. Will surprise a lot of people. Lots of veteran backs on this team but Jones will surprise. He is powerful and very fast.

3. Cameren Jenkins is a stud. Took part in spring ball so he knows all of the defensive alignments and calls. Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up starting by the end of the year. Loves to hit and is a ballhawk.

4. Bryson Waterman has steady hands. Will be a good slot.

Transfers:
1. Zavier Carter is just now getting healthy but he looks very scary. Explosive as hell and unblockable. If he stays healthy, his ceiling is Drew Sanders.

2. Jaxen Turner is still working through some things but he has stepped up post spring ball. Will be extremely good and is a leader in the back-end.

3. Jackson Woodard is the leader up front. Will probably lead us in tackles. Love go get dirty. Will end up first team All MWC.

4. Dom Gicinto has caught on quick even though he was a late transfer. Older dude and has SEC production. Will do a lot of damage YAC.

5. Tim Conerly is a speedster. Runs a 10.5 100 yard dash.

6. Landon Rogers is a stretch the field guy. Will be our deep threat. Expect him to catch a 40-50 yard bomb each game.

I hope you all enjoyed this. If there any questions lmk and I'll try my best to answer.

Here is an article on our team

USC sabotaged PAC expansion….

I know the current PAC commissioner gets a lot of negative comments and I am not sure it is justified. Because, according to SI, he immediately tried to get out in front of the fall out from the Texas and Oklahoma move to the SEC and raid the Big 12 only to be shot down by the USC president who had her own hidden agenda. From SI:

OSU, WSU, Cal, Stanford

We like to think they would be naturals to slide into the MWC or we could combine with them in some type of PAC merge. But from their point of view it would be a disaster - not only athletically but financially. These teams are used to bringing in @ $30 mil year from the their TV contract and the drop to MWC revenue numbers would most likely mean wholesale reductions in their coaching pay and the inability for the Presidents to syphon off $$ to pet programs. I'm hazy on language for the MWC on what happens if the conference dissolves and the same is true for the PAC. But I suspect we'll see a new TV contract with the addition of these programs but with only a slight increase from what we have now. I expect these PAC teams will do anything possible to try to get more revenue. I could see them taking a 1/3 share of BIG 12 or BIG 10. It would be about the same as the MWC could provide but there would be a possibility of getting much more in the future. It would keep their Big conference relevance. It would get them in the new dreamed of organization for the power 4 that cuts out the NCAA. In any case I don't see them lining up to get in the MWC or bring on what they see as country bumpkins into their precious PAC until absolutely nothing else is possible.

OT: Jury duty Summkons..

Ever gotten JDS? I got it like 4 years ago and weaseled out by going to my shrink and getting a paper that showed I was bipolar and that I couldn’t concentrate for 8 hours..

Well this time I got one to serve in September. Here’s the difference, I’m not on weed so I want to actively participate in sending someone to possibly die in prison or serve a lengthy time.

What’s your experience and have you ever served?

Funny thing is that I saw digit at a jury summons many years ago. He was very cool under the mic.

The pay must be really good with the cost of living and a rise of minimum wage to 10.50 an hour.
