Point

Waddilove is saying KK is looking at Mike Mitchell (Pepperdine) point guard. His stats are really good for a Fresh. Point.

This brings up the question. Should the program wait on DT or should we get a point ( not necessarily the kid above) while we can?

I'm thinking Gilbert is our backup. Thomas would be a "lights out" pickup and almost guaranteed to start. If we took another point now, where would he fit? But, we are desperate for a point, and if we wait we may not get anywhere near what we want. Also, if we got DT we'd be using a potential slot on a third point that could go to a fortified front court.

March Madness Bracket

Please comment if you will be joining my March Madness Bracket. If you commented on the last one, please do so again on this one! Buy-in will be $20, it'll either be winner take all OR 1st, 2nd, 3rd (this will be decided soon and I will post it on this thread), and we will be doing it on ESPN.

I hope to see some of y'all in the bracket. Happy March Madness!

Edit: I will be be sending out payment info and the link once the field is announced so bear with me!

Opportunity

Most everybody knows the Billy Beane story from the book and movie "Moneyball". For those who don't, it's about a baseball scout who perfected a new strategy that used statistics to rate the future success of minor leaguers.

I have no doubt this could be used to great achievement for basketball portal entries. These must be some stats that can successfully predict what players have a greater chance of breaking out in the next year than their current game or film would indicate.

I can't believe smart people aren't on this right now.

But, whoever perfects it will be rolling in cash.

NCAA Bracket Madness

I used Pomeroy to help fill out the brackets. Looking at this years tournament, I foresee a lot of close games. Teams like Tennessee, Kentucky, TCU, Baylor and even Kansas have had some bad losses and inconsistency. Therefore, I settled on Marquette, Gonzaga, Arizona, Duke and UCLA as my favorites. Texas and Alabama have been consistent all year and should meet UCLA and the Zags somewhere along the line. Hoping the Big 12 and Big 10 get wasted except for Kansas and Texas. I like Duke because of their size, Zags because of their forwards and guards have already beaten everyone that counts. Not betting a dime on any of this but I wish all of your wagers good luck.
