The remaining PAC 4 have got to be experiencing some of the emotions a person feels when they get a cancer diagnosis. Denial: We are better than this. This can't be happening to us. Anger: Those Ba*tards screwed us and we can't let them get away with it. Depression: Can't sleep, eat, concentrate on anything but getting left behind. Bargaining: We'll take anything that will let us keep our status. And finally Acceptance: We're going to have to deal with less money. We will be in a lessor conference. Let's figure a way to get the best of it. Those MWC conference teams are crap so at least we will have a great record as we beat them up.

The guy must be having heart palpitations. Going from a multimillion dollar cushy job to the street in no time. I can't imagine any contract with enough foresight to save him from a conference collapse.

I watched wrestlemania with some homies last Saturday and the discussion turned into the Fabulous Freebirds with Michael PS Hayes. The Texas promotions were bad ass. I know of them but didn’t follow as much as soon as I moved to Vegas as they were always on some random channel. I never heard Badstreet USA. Been listening non stop to this wrestling entrance music masterpiece. As a matter of fact, I think it’s the best original wrestling promo cut for a wrestler of all time.

Will they be joining the MWC?

Could it end up with three 20 team super conferences? ( Big 12, big 10, sec). Everyone else just fighting for leftovers.

So what is going to happen is that Israel is going to storm the Muslim temple on the dome Rock and build a Jewish Temple on it.Israel will unify the West Bank and take it over. Then the Gaza Strip will be isolated off.

Sit back and think about it for a second. Will the coast to coast power conference actually survive long term? I was thinking about this issue and wonder how the UCLA fan base will react when the BIG conference basketball tourney is held at the United Center in Chicago in early March. Or how will the USC fans react when the BIG football conference championship game is held in the heart of BIG country in late December or early January at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis. What about the travel? I read where the BIG has already made a statement that the only guaranteed rivalry football game that will be scheduled will be OSU/Michigan. How does USC react when they no longer call the shots on important conference issues? Such as UCLA vs USC? This early on ASU has already made it public that they don’t want to travel to Morgantown to play West Virginia. Also, with approximately 40 million households cutting the cord on cable TV how long will the current economic model last? What UNLV needs to do over the next 5-10 years is to take advantage of its location, facilities and the fact that they are actually paying its head football coach a competitive salary and separate it’s football program from the rest of the PAC/MWC and win. IMO the top 4-5 programs will have a shot at a reconstructed west coast power conference down the road if football can win.

Right now PAC is biggest loser, with Aztecs.

With MWC exit fee, any way PAC/MWC merge, not sure leadership is smart enough to do it?

4 Remaining PAC schools and MWC with SMU and Memphis could be a decent top 5 conference and being pro active see if Gonzaga and St May's for hoops.

Colorado will dicuss their intentions to move the Big 12 Tomorrow at 3pm during the Board of regents meeting. This will be their 2nd meeting this week. Hearing that they have been talking with the Big 12 everyday for the last 2 weeks. Now I understand why the Pac 12 Commissioner and the Colorado AD left media day early.

What would they have done had they paid the MWC to leave to go to the PAC and now the PAC goes to the dumps? It would have been so funny to watch no matter what happened.

Just saw the Netflix documentary with Wham!

I thought it was freakin Great. Man, George Michael with his unmoveable haircut brought a tear to my eye.

I never heard of their early stuff when they were in the UK. My god, it was awful but it was a necessary component for them to get big.

I absolutely love George Michael. I had the freakin perm haircut like his when I lived in TEnnessee. Heck I look in the mirror everyday trying to emulate his flamboyant gayness to the max.

The 80’s was just a phenomenal time. When I moved out to Vegas in 1985, Freedom was all over the radio. Heck for all you old school eastsiders, there was the old Freedom Park on Bonanza/Pecos..

I thought he did Ridgely dirty by ditching him.

This meeting will be public and private. Similar to the Colorado meeting last week. I believe that they will discuss a vote to leave the Pac 12. If they setup an additional meeting on Thursday it means that they are going to the Big 12.

First I really hope that Harp has all of our power players together and lobbying their asses off to get us into one of the 3 remaining Power Conferences. Second, in case that doesn’t work out for us that our commissioner (Nevarez?) is working some deals behind the scenes to add a few decent pieces and significantly bump up our TV package. I hear that Apple is looking to pick something up on the west coast now that the PAC is almost dead and buried.

Absolutely crazy what is going on. Decades long rivalries being torched, teams being flown across the country for minor sports etc. In a couple years it will be the same old thing, 3 or 4 teams at the top of the conference, 10-12 fighting in the middle & 3 or 4 perennially at the bottom.

The SEC or BIg ought to wake up and grab us so that their fans could have a fun road trip every other year if we don’t get any better!

Even with all the best trainers and chefs in the world at his everyday disposal it can happen to anyone. Get well young man (I’ll put my utter hatred aside of Lebron for this)
