Too Early…

UNLV getting a mention, when was the last time this occurred around here?!

It's been a long time. And I'm almost ready to be hurt again.

Chances of making the College Football Playoffs

This is cool to see, just think where we were as a program just 2.5 years ago, pre-Odom.

It’s nice to see UNLV talked about in preseason top 25 instead that dreaded bottom 10!
Playing, in the $2 Billion dollar stadium. Really, helps in attracting top talent for a G-5 program.
It, is what attracted Dan Mullen to UNLV.

OT: what’s your dream job besides what you do right now?

Gloria's personal assistant and (duh) sex slave. :)
Hey, I’ve done some role playing in my private life, my roommate had to put up with my music because he doesn’t know how to use the remote. I would be the black dude in this video that we just watched.

Which one would you smash?

Oh bro just for the record, I don’t give a shit about you or your gay son. I don’t judge what people do in their private lives.

I judge them on their public lives…

MWC & PAC Mediation Discussion for Poaching & Exit Fees

If its Texas State the Sun Belt exiting fees aren't to hefty.

They would go up, but I don't think to a point that it would make Texas State or the PAC flinch to be honest.
I’m sure they’re not, but I’d imagine there has to be SOME sort of SOMETHING to stop a school from letting the conference know on June 30th that they’re leaving on July 1st.

New Playoff Seeding Format

I can't complain either. The good news is that the top 4 rated conference champions get more money (8 mill) so, a 7th seeded UNLV could potentially make MORE money than it would have otherwise. Especially if the planets align and we could actually WIN a game!
I would be willing to bet that they will figure that out real quick and make sure the lower seed gets a smaller share in the first round.

New Playoff Seeding Format

BSU would've been better off with straight seeding last year. They would've played at Indiana in the first round and had a better chance to win. Then they would've had a chance at revenge against Oregon, a team they should've beaten earlier. They didn't play their best game against Penn State, but the Nittany Lions had something to do with that. Also, the stage might've been a little big for the erstwhile giant-killers. Getting that bye may have caused them to feel the pressure of heightened expectations. Regardless, it may take a couple years for the G6 to get past the 'participation trophy' stage with regards to the CFP. Whether it's BSU, UNLV, JMU or someone else (okay, maybe not UNR or SDSU), I'm looking forward to that day.
I was thinking the same kind of ironic they got a better seed but worse draw. They would have beaten IU. OU who knows but it would have been competitive at least.

Tick Tick Tick

Or maybe they were 2 of the markets that the Pac kept afloat, above their market value for years simply due to regional relationships. much like they wanted to cut the deadweight from the MWC, the Pac 12 teams disbanding and getting better offers without them really showed their market value...
This is how I have always thought about it. There's no reason for them to have been in the Pac as long as they were. They were both generally non competitive between fb, mbb, and wbb over generations.

They were stood up by being alongside the regional northern schools that, along with LA, ent to the Big 10.
