I think because KU was limited with the soccer stadium.

I will say though, the opportunity to be on primetime ESPN on Friday night in the entire country was huge and bigger than any payday, imo. You know there’s a unlv game thread on SECrant? They were howling over Odom taking KU down.

I don’t think so. Can think of some bigger ones. #8 BYU in ‘81, Dominating #14 Wisconsin in their house in 2003. Beating Reno ‘94 to clinch their only conference championship are ones off the top of my head. Might even say the bowl game against Arkansas in 2000 too.

It’s definitely a good one though, will see where we end up and where they do to see just how big it really is.

Big 12 in Vegas?

This probably went under the radar for some. But I wondered earlier in summer, why in the heck would the Big 12 hold their football media day in Las Vegas and at Allegiant stadium? There are plenty of big cities like KC, Orlando, Dallas or Houston in their foot print that are more than capable of handling the Big 12 media day, right? After the recent PAC 6 announcement, we all know UNLV should have been call no. 2 or 3 on the list. But UNLV wasn’t and why? The Big 12 commissioner comments at the media day are interesting and it appears the Big 12 is looking west and Vegas is part of the plan. Do they expand out west to 20 and add Cal and Stanford? What about SMU and UNLV? I do feel there is a void out west for P4 expansion.

This is incredibly inaccurate... his wife made some off the cuff remarks trying to encourage fans to sell out the Chiefs stadium but he is really well liked and held in Mangino-lite regard by KU fans. Grimes his new OC on the other hand might not make it past this season

Agree... I'm of the opinion based on my knowledge of KUs defensive strength, there is not a corner in the MWC as good as either Dotson or Bryant and if they try to put our WRs 1 v 1 it'll be a bloodbath... we were so close like 4 times last night to that big play.

No, but they had 7 to 8 in the box depending on if we went 3 or 4 wide... they constantly played man to man with our WRs and tried to stop the running game. They did the same vs Altmyer the prior week but in the game winning drive much like ours, Altmyer managed to get loose and pick up first downs...

They know, but there isn’t a vote because they don’t vote on a move until it is recommended by the president and the chancellor: they’re playing semantics at this point.
