WE had a great year with Williams. I could only imagine if we had one of the TOP 3 QBs in the MWC. IMO we would of been in the playoffs. Deservingly or not.

I don't think we'll be preseason top 25. Boise might.

You have to leave spots for 2-3 undeserving SEC teams that will finish .500ish. Why you ask? So that the SEC can pad resumes with wins over 'ranked' opponents within conference while they continue to mostly play cupcake OOC..

Some of the current players that entered the portal have since come back to UNLV, so that should help. But either way, we lost a ton of impact players. I'm hoping CDM will be able to pull back more of these UNLV portal guys to return next year.

Exactly. I don't like the fact that they do pre-season polls, because based on perception, it's much easier to stay ranked higher than if you start way down the list, even if you perform well. But it will benefit UNLV for a change, so that's cool I guess.

Is the schedule (with dates) out yet? Or just the home and away games listed without dates?

IF we can upgrade most of the 50 some players we lost than i will be a happy camper. WE lost a TON! We were just one slight upgrade at QB from being 13-1 . I imagine that would of been our record if we had the NM or Reno QB!

Also, Im not exactly worried about losing any of our WRs this offseason to the transfer portal. Combined they all have like 15 catches this season for anyone not named White or DeJesus and they dropped alot of balls. Sure, some contributed here and there and caught a big pass 1 time... but our WR group was incredibly disappointing outside Ricky White and it showed when teams took him away from Hajj.

Hopefully we DID! Unless we got someone else coming. I do think this one sees the field MUCH better and can spread the field better. Seems like a gamer. Might be able to pull a upset or 2. Fingers crossed!

This transfer literally landed in our lap, look at the alternatives. "compare to Sluka and HWM, are you serious? It's JUCO bro....Dude got sac'd 39 times in the ****ing ACC. How about we at least see spring camp before we crucify a kid. Who know maybe he's even the backup and other things are in the works. MF'ers will only be happy if it's the second coming of Brady these days.

When we get rid of a coach it's due to bad performance and ends with hard feelings all around. ( except Otzelberger who had his head out the door when he got here) . Many ( sometimes nearly all ) of the players leave and the one's that stay aren't very good.

The past few coaches with Utah State have left because they were retiring with success or moving up due to success. A few players left - but many stayed and the coach was able to bring in the best players from his past school to add to them. Sprinkle brought in 6 of his players from Mt. State including Osobor (currently averaging 15/9 with Washington) who was a large part of Sprinkles success. The current coach was able to keep 5 players and 3 of them start.

None of our coaches have had that kind of continuity.

Hopefully our next coach can start in a better position.

When Craig Smith took over he didn’t take over a successful team in fact their record was worse than the one KK inherited. And taking over a successful team doesn’t guarantee success you have to bring in your own players still to be successful as Sprinkle did.

Depth. They just signed the #1 QB in the class for a crap ton of NIL, cant see him not getting the nod to start. Interesting that Keene thought hes better off sitting on the bench on Michigan than starting somewhere,

I was wondering when I saw that too. However, Haj Malik Williams did the same. Declaring for the draft, despite not having any eligibility left. I don't know the rules of the NFL draft, but maybe you have to declare in order to be in consideration to be drafted, even if you're a graduate???
