You have to have 8 teams for conference. We have 8 but Hawaii is football only..We only have 7 (less in some cases) for Olympic sports basketball and softball/baseball.

We still don't know why UNLV wasn't offered, or if UNLV was offered and turned them down what the reason was for that. But a revamped MWC will likely fall behind the AAC and probably a new look PAC when the dust settles. (Provided UNLV doesn't get an invite).
