So, you want us to believe that some how, some way - Colorado football was worse, had a worse history, had less value, less pride, less worth than, less future than … UNLV football? UNLV football, which was very consistently, almost to an annual rule, one of the 10 worst programs year over year? Wasn’t Colorado top 20 in 3 of 7 different seasons just before Sanders took over? You really expect me to believe the ultra-hyperbolism that some how UNLV and Colorado were similar?
When it comes to leaving a program in better shape than they found it, Odom will be one of the top coaches with that. His turnaround year one was incredible by itself, and then year two to show it wasn’t a fluke.
I said nothing about dollar for dollar. If money making is what matters, it’s a good investment. If winning games and championships is the goal, which is what fans want - presidents and ADs want the money, they don’t care about wins, they’re administrators, they’re bureaucrats, they’re corporate, they’re gov … but the fans don’t care about money, they want the wins … then it’s up in the air. I have a feeling that most fans won’t be happy with 10M per year for 9-5 records, middle of conference finishes and an ordinary bowl. I could be wrong, I don’t know that fanbase … but I’d think every fanbase would be upset.
