We've had 4 conference games with healthy leads in the second half that have ended up going 1-3. USU(L), CSU(L), Fresno, Reno(L). Had we won those three games we'd be two full games in first place ahead of Boise. I think we have the players to win games. I also think CKK doesn't have enough experience to guide a team in these situations.

Last time UNLV won qtr final game in MWC, holy crap, simply amazing how bad UNLV has become!

10 min into the game and UNLV has shot 3 from beyond the arc (1-3) while AFA has shot 10 (2-10). Really glad that CKK and his staff got the guys away from chucking up 3s all game. It means they’re actually attempting to run an offense.

I see his potential, I like what I see currently. I can’t say that I haven’t been frustrated from early games, however I feel he can turn this around as he keeps getting better players. Love the effort his players give him. I think he had to adapt mid season to fit the style of play that works for us and I credit him for that. So many bad 3 point shots taken at beginning of season. He has reined that in as the season progressed. We lack shooting, but we are playing physical and I like it. I don’t expect much for this season but I have a hope we will win each game and play strong to the end. Win or lose, I hope we can build an identity around a coach for once. I hope it is Kruger.

Seeing as our bench production,is almost non-existent the MWC tournament might be short lived. We have the talent 2 win it. Just not the depth and execution in late game situations. This is the fourth or fifth game we Choked Away late in the game. I feel sorry for thomas. He's our best player and and we'll go down as one of the greatest To wear the Scarlet And gray. I’ve noticed over the last ten years or so… it seems almost every time we have a big, lots at stake type of game, and we have a big excited crowd… we lay an egg. We lose..The crowd is extremely disappointed wondering why we can’t ever get back to being the winning exciting Runnin Rebels. Never fails.. Big Crowd = Auto Loss
Also, Krugers T & M Conference record AT HOME is 12-12. That’s hard to fathom. Mindboggling bad. We need a breath of fresh air. Please

Just curious where folks here stand on the Rebs accepting various non NCAA tournament post season bids.

Ideally, I'd say NIT and NCAA. I think the current status of the program would also have to include CBI. UNLV ain't better than that right now. But get this thing stabilized (regularly bubble or better) and NIT should be the lowest tourney.

I'm in the keep Kruger camp based on not wanting more coaching search pain and the fact that multiple switches hasn't helped. But I can see from these numbers why someone is in the other camp and I can't argue it.

I hope I don't jinx our nice start. Our lady's are off to a 5-0 start. The second game this evening at home we knocked off Iowa State 7-1. They've now scored 41 runs in 5 games and have only allowed 6 runs total for our opponents. Tomorrow's games at home are against UC Santa Barbara and Bradley University. Go Rebels.

The entire team looked exhausted in the last three minutes. I think they are convinced the only way they win is with stifling defense. And that could be true. But it wears them down this time of the season.

That is why you see JJ coming in. for Ke. Boone while he is over at the end of the bench gasping for air. That's why Thomas dribbles into a double team at the half court and has to call a time out.( totally uncharacteristic) That's partially why he missed the two foul shots. That explains why they were guarding with their arms and not moving their feet. ( resulting in multiple foul calls). It explains why they were shooting poorly. It explains the wide open three's for Reno ( no close outs)

If the team is tiring quickly and there is no bench to turn to the this spells trouble for our future games. Elevation will kill a tired team. AF ( 6900 ft) Wyoming ( 7200 ft.) Reno ( 4900 ft)
