NEW CONFERENCE YES OR NO

Don't undervalue the growth Montana is undergoing. Might not currently be a large market, but there's a lot of moving people or people living there part time that send their kids to school at UM while the winter in CA, lol...

I wonder.

Which way would you rather go in expanding?

Texas State with NMSU and UTEP?

Or go all in on FCS schools and do something like Sac State, Idaho (They've been FBS before) Montana, Montana State and maybe UTEP (I don't love UTEP but completely ignoring Texas seems like a mistake)

AP Poll

I dont think they will. WSU the only loss above them up to #21 in the nation. Think we will have to beat Syracuse to get in the top 25.

It will be close. Might sneak in.

#20 Oklahoma State lost and #19 Illinois lost. (I think that was their rankings)

Oklahoma State got hammered by Kansas State so they could fall quite a bit.

Illinois lost at Penn State 21-7. Game was a slog.

Personally don't care much about the rankings really. (Yet) Nice seeing a # next to UNLV for sure.

Keep winning games the rest will take care of itself. Not getting much help from KU or Houston. Houston lost ugly.

PAC….terrible leadership!

When you set back and reflect on what has happened over the last month so with the PAC 2 it’s no surprise that it all ended for the PAC 12. Their leadership is very questionable. First, the total settlement with the departing schools left OSU and WSU flush with approximately $255 mill to split between them. Any university can do a lot with an approximately $120 mill plus in a windfall to their athletic department. So instead of the reverse merger and using the funds to strengthen their own athletic departments, they raid the MWC in an attempt to break it up. But they failed. So instead of a reverse merger and requiring new members to make significant infrastructure improvements and mandatory minimum athletic department budgets, they don’t even invite the top 4 programs and then out of desperation they offer USU (who has to pay its own exit fee). So now the PAC owes the MWC (their competitors) approximately $90 mill in exits fees and potentially another $45 mill in poaching penalties. Thats a truely remarkable turn of events. Now the MWC can use the PAC 2’s money to strengthen it’s athletic programs

I'm never afraid to admit I'm wrong. And I was 100% wrong on this whole thing.

I honestly thought they had this thing mapped out and basically had their lineup in place just needing signatures.

Seriously they could have bit the bullet done the reverse merger. And had money to burn.

NEW CONFERENCE YES OR NO

I completely agree. I just thought it was interesting that the two schools combined can put nearly 50,000 people in two stadiums while we have a tough time putting 25,000 people in one stadium with three times the populace.

Because it's different.

Vegas has way more transplants with other allegiances. UNLV is competing with VGK and Raiders for people's entertainment dollars. They've had no reason to show up for 30 years with football.

Hell the most attended game there was USC Vs LSU not even the Raiders.

Houston is a massive city and they don't draw as well as you would think unless it's a big game.

Personally I wish UNLV would have done their own on or near campus stadium of around 35k..

And apologies to any students on here but their support has sucked for football for as long as I've gone to games. Better recently. But it shouldn't take having to give tickets away to get them out there.

Too bad Boise can't say the same...
Seriously, they might get chatter, but their schedule was soft outside Oregon...getting both Temu12 Schools really hurt their ability to land another strong ooc game

They looked really good tonight though. Defensively I was surprised considering the points and yards they had been giving up so far this year.

Remember guys, yell it out proudly. “That’s our quarterback!” The next four games are critical for this program. I m a little nervous with Boise. They definitely got some talent on that team. With that said, I have full confidence in our team. We put up more points on Fresno than Michigan did. Not saying we would hang with Michigan; but this team has something special.
Boise will definitely be tough but we have a few big games before we get there.
