So many posts to reply to. Most of them mean . Sure wish a bunch of you, besides Meister, could figure out how to post on my board. I could use some backup as I fight off all the idiots.

To attempt to summarize, WSU's AD, and Admin in general, are incompetent idiots. Lower scholarships for FB? And a corresponding drop in women's schollies (Title IX) right after the NCAA opened the floodgates for additional scholarships for basically all women's sports?

And of course, the Pac-2 Commissioner is woeful. We don't even have a league yet. And maybe won't at this rate.

"Hey prospective Coach X from G5 or the FCS? Come to WSU at a mediocre pay increase, with fewer schollies than any other FBS team, and join a league that may not even exist with an unknown media deal that looks worse with every passing day". Yep, the phone is ringing off the hook.

Some are drooling over Montana State's coach, and the Dakota coaches as well. You know, the ones that just played each other on ABC. Potential modest salary increase aside, who the hell would sign on for this? But Cougs are frothing at the mouth to hurry up and hire somebody.

Probably. Imagine if our basketball team got its act together and was also a leader in the MWC... We'd be insufferable.

We were pretty good, depth better than ever …. But still not P4 depth and P4 starter talent across the board. Never say never, but I cannot imagine battling favorably against some of the teams I’ve watched.

That’s not a shot at our program, we’ve come a long way. But you don’t go from 0-100 in two years in football. We went 0-75 which is still incredibly impressive.

Teams in playoff I would have given UNLV a chance against..

SMU. Think we lose but would have been competitive.

Indiana. Despite their record I don't think they were all that much better than Kansas, who was definitely better than record indicated.

That's pretty much it.

Not sure we win either but they'd be competitive.

I agree. We were not going to beat most of these TOP 15 teams if any. Things would have to go are way in multiple areas to have a chance. Hopefully Boise St keeps it close. Getting blown out will take away from the non P4 schools.

The addition of the OL assistant coach from Ohio State proved helpful for some of these guys to stay. Clearly Mullen is trying to retain a core and add to it, not all that different than what Barry did in 2023.

WE had a great year with Williams. I could only imagine if we had one of the TOP 3 QBs in the MWC. IMO we would of been in the playoffs. Deservingly or not.

He's put up pretty solid numbers over the years. If nothing else he is a very very good insurance policy as a back up.

I don't think we'll be preseason top 25. Boise might.

You have to leave spots for 2-3 undeserving SEC teams that will finish .500ish. Why you ask? So that the SEC can pad resumes with wins over 'ranked' opponents within conference while they continue to mostly play cupcake OOC..

Some of the current players that entered the portal have since come back to UNLV, so that should help. But either way, we lost a ton of impact players. I'm hoping CDM will be able to pull back more of these UNLV portal guys to return next year.

Exactly. I don't like the fact that they do pre-season polls, because based on perception, it's much easier to stay ranked higher than if you start way down the list, even if you perform well. But it will benefit UNLV for a change, so that's cool I guess.

Is the schedule (with dates) out yet? Or just the home and away games listed without dates?

IF we can upgrade most of the 50 some players we lost than i will be a happy camper. WE lost a TON! We were just one slight upgrade at QB from being 13-1 . I imagine that would of been our record if we had the NM or Reno QB!

I really hope not...

Also, Im not exactly worried about losing any of our WRs this offseason to the transfer portal. Combined they all have like 15 catches this season for anyone not named White or DeJesus and they dropped alot of balls. Sure, some contributed here and there and caught a big pass 1 time... but our WR group was incredibly disappointing outside Ricky White and it showed when teams took him away from Hajj.

The man goes by “Mikey” at age 20 something. He isn’t welcome here. His mom probably picks out his clothes for him each morning before school

Hopefully we DID! Unless we got someone else coming. I do think this one sees the field MUCH better and can spread the field better. Seems like a gamer. Might be able to pull a upset or 2. Fingers crossed!
