UNLV football is great - but some people are delusional!

I have noticed that on Stubhub there are tickets listed for over $300 for a single seat with highest current price at $1,161 per ticket. Viagogo has a highest price of $1,256 per ticket; Vivid has a maximum price of $387 per ticket; Ticketmaster has a maximum price of $456 per ticket; Ticket Center has a maximum price of $229 per ticket; Gametime has a maximum price of $245 per ticket; Mega Seat has a maximum price of $359 per seat; At least Seat Geek has the highest price at $178 per ticket.

The bottom line is that in many cases you can buy season tickets for below what people are trying to get for a single seas. Priority sideline club 1 tickets are $417 for the remaining 5 games. I hope fans are going directly to UNLV first before overpaying for secondary market tickets when there are an unlimited number of seats that can open up if they sell out the first level.

FSU/BSU/CSU/SDSU 5-6

The combined four teams going to the PAC have a combined record of 5-6 have scored a total of 296-305 points without a single win against a Power conference team or a single ranked team!

UNLV/SJSU have a combined record of 6-0 have scored a total of 212 - 82 points and UNLV has two power conference wins and a top 25 ranking!

I have no doubt UNLV is going to land on their feet since the four teams running to the PAC appear to land on their butts more than anywhere else!

Agreement

Where are the MWC contracts published that cover the exact wording of the concepts we are discussing ( i.e. The number of programs that need to vote to disband, the exact date for a two year notice, requirements that need to be met to participate in payouts etc.)

When we discuss this it would be nice to know the exact language.

Fundamental misunderstanding

“It would seem really odd to me,” Brooks said. “It makes more sense for the two institutions to have conversations about where they’d like to see their football programs, where they want to land, and what does the future look like for the state of Nevada when we talk about collegiate athletes?

Where they want to land???? Where they would like to see their programs????

It's as though this dunce believes we can just sit down as twinsies with Reno and choose the conference we want to hold hands and then just go there. Oh, we want the Big 10 - Let's go. Or the B 12 - then let's go. It's much more likely we could choose between the Big Sky and the Missouri Valley. And I don't think this guy would care a whit if we did.

I would venture a guess that this man doesn't know how many points you get for a safety. How many yards you need for a first down. Or why there are smaller stripes towards the sidelines.

I can't believe this level of idiot can make decisions about sports programs that, with the right decisions, could develop into many multi-million dollar entities.

Similar team, so much different.

Last year we knew we’d put up points and we crossed our fingers that our defense would bend, not break. If the defense played well, we had a lot confidence. But they only did so sporadically.

Yeah, we had significant 1st half issues vs Kansas but looked great in the second.

Our defense should keep us in every game this season. Not having McD for awhile hurts, but there’s some talent there and they have a chance to make their mark.

This bye week, I hope a lot of time is spent on chemistry/mental building of the passing game. Our previous strength is weak right now. If this team is going to do really good things, the passing game needs to click.

Whitfield and Harper You Have ONE Job Right Now.

Talk with AF and both of us talk with the AAC to find out if they would be interested in having us. The MWC just died. The Pac12 don't want us. Gloria did her best but she was out maneuvered.

You have to know that the MWC will never get the media revenue it has right now. And, that says a lot. We have to give our one year notice to leave this graveyard of a conference while we still have Odom and a decent looking football program.

Save our school. Save our student athletes. Save our fans. Save our Community.

You guys owe me lunch or a hooker!!

I knew something was off and I sat on my couch and didn’t move around. So at halftime, I went shopping at Winco.

My phone was low battery, couldn’t watch the game..

On the way back my cousin turned on the game and we were up by 3 and held on.

The look on their faces especially their women!!

Roommate quote. “better them than Us”

Screw Kansas, they got the Chiefs anyways to root for.

Big 12 in Vegas?

This probably went under the radar for some. But I wondered earlier in summer, why in the heck would the Big 12 hold their football media day in Las Vegas and at Allegiant stadium? There are plenty of big cities like KC, Orlando, Dallas or Houston in their foot print that are more than capable of handling the Big 12 media day, right? After the recent PAC 6 announcement, we all know UNLV should have been call no. 2 or 3 on the list. But UNLV wasn’t and why? The Big 12 commissioner comments at the media day are interesting and it appears the Big 12 is looking west and Vegas is part of the plan. Do they expand out west to 20 and add Cal and Stanford? What about SMU and UNLV? I do feel there is a void out west for P4 expansion.
