Are the chances actually 0%?

For an at-large?

In 2022, Rutgers became the lowest-ranked team in the NET era to earn an at-large bid. The Scarlet Knights got into the tournament with a No. 77 NET ranking, largely based on their 6-6 record in Quad 1.

The Athletic

We are currently Net 80 with a 5-4 record in Quad 1 with SDSU and Reno being quad 1 games left in the regular season. As of today, any of the top teams except Boise and Reno would be a Quad 1 game in the MWC tourney.

Does the committee consider that Boone was not eligible during the Southern and LMU loss?

Forgotten Man

He came back home 2+ years ago after playing sparingly at West Virginia and had to redshirt way back then. Battled shoulder injiries for a year and then foot injuries for the last year. So we have a 6’11” redshirt sophomore that really hasn’t played or practiced much in over 2 years.
I must admit I was hoping for a lot more from him earlier in the year, his feet were slow and he just didn’t seem ready to play. Looking back at what he has been through the last 2+ years is it any wonder?
Last night Cottrell played a huge role in taking down CSU. He looked quicker, much more active and was the preferred big over Boone down the stretch. Hopefully his injuries are behind him and he becomes what we had hoped for. With or without Whaley in the next couple games he could be a big piece for the Rebs.
Gotta love the home town boys that came back to represent.

We will beat a ranked team today....

Im pretty confident we will pick up the win today against CSU

Only 1.5 games out of first place.

Its okay to root for the Rebels people

Its okay to enjoy good basketball

I dont know about you guys but this is Fun AF for me -

Thank goodness we are still in the conversation in late Feb
- i seriously thought we would win 6 games max in league -the way we started this season

The MW tournament should be EPIC 'this year

Pitino

This is what he said about his current team bc they’re losing. How can he not take some responsibility for his shit recruiting. I do like the straightforwardness though

“We are so unathletic that we can’t guard anybody without fouling. For me, I’ve always enjoyed the first year, and I’m not gonna lie to you; This is the most unenjoyable experience of my lifetime. This has been so disappointing,” said Pitino of St. John’s season,

“Look: Joel [Soriano] is slow laterally, he’s not fast on the court. Chris Ledlum is slow laterally, Sean Conway’s slow laterally. Brady [Dunlap] is physically weak, Drissa [Traore] is slow laterally,” said Pitino,

The 71-year-old went on to call his team’s defense “atrocious” and said that he’s preparing for another loss during the Red Storm’s next tilt, a matchup againstGeorgetown on Feb. 21.

Is Utah State better than us ???

They will most likely Win the regular season MW title

We will most likely (IMO) Finish in 2nd place (tied or at Worst 3rd)

That 5 point play -

boy we blew that game -

That call had a lot of weight to it

As a ref I would try to avoid making calls that had so much impact - Funny looking back now -

I would like another shot at USU in the tourny _ i think we clean their clock

Attendance

9,500-reno and 8,500 tonight, if they beat wyoming/San Jose the Mack will have 10k plus for aztecs
There no question if UNLV becomes regular contender they will draw especially on sarurday games of 12k plus, I remember with Lon and BYU and aztecs and UNM and Mack would be packed, I remember beating BYU ass in finals, Mack was packed. Put product out on floor and compete fans will come.

Reno at CSU, so if UNLV beats Wyoming they have good chance to move up in conference.

Need whaley to get healthy, but I like Cottrell hustle tonight, some time injuries you have use kids and they step up, really need webster/Johnson to setup. My geez there both horrible.

DJ Thomas, Lu Rod, Boone's, Hicks, Isaiah all step up

It was a great day at the Mack. I was surrounded by hundreds of parents with their children. We were treated to a show. 20 for 20 at the free throw line for DJ and Lu Rod. Whaley got hurt and Isaiah and Jones stepped up. Isaiah was throwing his weight around for rebounds and DJ was taking CSU to the hoop. Defense was great because of a lot less switching. CSU was defended for all fourty minutes. Great team effort on the boards. Brooklyn and Lu Rod shut their men down and the Boones made it tough on CSU inside. Whaley is maybe out for Wyoming because he has to be evaluated. Some great three pointers from the Rebs and they contested every shot by CSU. 66-60 and Air Force beat UNM at the Pit. My take, we better be in the championship game for a shot at NCAA.
