This may be a top 10 post on RN.Doesn't look like a very good first year for Rasputin.

That is great news. We need all hands on deck for SJSU. I remember watching SJSU first couple of games and I was blown away with how good they looked with a new coach and QB. We can win but it's not going to be easy.He came back into the game, I am pretty sure I saw him back out there.
He came back into the game, I am pretty sure I saw him back out there.Didn't Camac go out with what appeared to be ankle/foot injury? He seems like another silent assassin always in a bunch of defensive plays. I don't know how serious his injury is or if he will be back. Anyone heard more about this?
I agree, in a way it is almost better that UNLV is not in the conference if they want their conference championship there.Unfortunately though they don't need us to play in Vegas.

Very true. Just as important beating Boise! But what is truly remarkable about this discussion is that we are actually having it! Who would have thought it was even remotely possible just two years ago! Also winning the conference championship game would be huge. Something UNLV hasn't done in either major sport in quite some time.
Yeah. Ware was in there and got burned for a TD. Hopefully Grimes can play next week.He can only help if he actually plays. Was dressed for the last game but never went in.
Hoping they were just saving him for the short week leading up to Friday.
He can only help if he actually plays. Was dressed for the last game but never went in.I think the one player that is low key our best DB is Tony Grimes. You rarely notice him (at least on TV broadcasts) which is a good thing. QBs don't want to challenge him. We have gotten beat as a team in zone situations and Tony has been a victim of that, but you rarely see him challenged in man coverage. It reminds me of Eric Wright in that respect.
I think he can help this week, if there is one top WR that can burn us.
No one said it was equal to going to the CFP. But right now UNLV has two loses. Assuming CSU loses and UNLV defeats Boise in the MWCC is that enough if the one loss Army wins the AAC championship? Lot of assumptions there I will admit. But that is the other potential scenario. No way to equal going to the CFP. There will be millions watching those games not to mention the payout. If we managed to go and somehow keep it respectable like even 31-17ish that would help even more.
You have to root for the Playoff berth. In a way you are crowned the G5 champion with that. That is pretty big. Also the money would be a huge bonus, something UNLV needs big time.Does UNLV playing Boise in the MWC championship even matter long term? Even if CSU wins their last 2? Just my opinion, but the best scenario for UNLV is to win the last two games and their bowl game. Even if UNLV doesn’t play in the MWC championship, with UNLV currently ranked 23, they would move up into the top 20 and potentially around 15th in the nation. That would be HUGE! Especially since conference realignment is not completed.
Jeanty should be a finalist, and he has a legit shot. He is having the best season since Barry Sanders.Hunter's to lose.
Meanwhile Deon is doing great at CU.Doesn't look like a very good first year for Rasputin.
EwwHeather is pretty cute. Not beautiful, but certainly doable.
Congrats on leapfrogging my Cougs and being ranked. Too f-ing bad we didn't play you guys this year. Although the overflow crowd of 14,000 and change at NM last night must have been a thing to behold.....![]()
I would be more than happy to go to that bowl again if we do not go to the playoffs. There’s also the possibility we play some where else that has zero MWC tie in. Last year we were lucky to be going to mortgage rate bowl in Phx, usually that is reserved for the Big12 and BigTen.
Keep an eye on the Sun Bowl or Holiday Bowl. There’s a possibility the P12 and its former members can’t meet eligibility requirements.

Unfortunately though they don't need us to play in Vegas.Just win out! The perception of the UNLV program is rapidly changIng. The commissioner of the Big 12 at the football media day at Allegiant stated as follows:
