Reser Stadium/Oregon State game.

Been to quite a few stadiums in my time. I never understood the hate for SBS. When it got full, it was loud and a good college environment. For some reason people blamed the stadium instead of the admin for sucking ass.
My only complaint were the stadium seats.

I remember SBS pre-upgrades. The media box was a dump, carpet was torn up. I remember being in the last row in the south end and it was cold as shit in the Horton era, place was packed so it must have been Hortons first year at unlv.

Say what you want about the portal and NIL killing the game and your enthusiasm but guys like Ricky White Jason Catalon and Jackson Woodard make me say it will be all good.

Those guys are three of the good ones who transferred in via the portal and earned whatever NIL money they get! #portalaintallbad
It's definitely not all bad. I think it can actually make it easier to overhaul a roster and win sooner, but it takes away some of what was special about the college game vs. pro game. The system now is even more unstable than professional leagues, since there aren't even really contracts and guys can change teams multiple times in 2-3 years.

The portal and entitled attitudes have taken a lot of the love out of college sports for me.

Call me antiquated or whatever you want to say but the old mentality was alluring to me. This isn't a within 2-3 years thing, either. I remember certain MBB players on Rice's teams that I didn't care for much, despite their talent. I liked the AC repairman (on Lon's team) more that them.
yeah, I'm with you. You might get 1-2 transfers a year coming in, but you'd also have a bunch of guys that have come up through the system, paying their dues until it was their time. For some it was earlier than others, but you got to know the players and see them as they grow. Now, some teams change drastically year to year.

Huge Crowd For Boise St Game.

Shit I just looked at the schedule your BSU game is on Friday (fine I guess, you probably don't have half your fans 280 miles away like WSU). But on the CBSSN network? I don't get that network. And my Cougs at SDSU the next day on CBSSN? I don't get that network either. Your TV deal sucks doggy dicks. And your timeslot competition is one game - Rutgers at USC. On Fox.

PRAY FOR ME

The wife and I were in Cleveland for the R&R HoF inductions this past weekend. Boy, you wanna talk about a city where weed is a major part of the daily existence.... You coudn't walk a block without (ahem) "Ooo-ooo that smell!"

I was actually surprised with how little I weed I smelled in Oregon.

But I could definitely smell the communism.

Let’s get a big crowd out there!!

That’s why I thought it was TERRIBLE that DRF didn’t put in a clause saying no college team can compete at the stadium without UNLVs approval or insert a P5 clause saying unless unlv is in the p5, nobody else can use Allegiant.
The facility was constructed to improve the economy of Clark County, not as a weapon for UNLV to move to a P5, major college football events bring millions into the economy.

I was thinking the same thing. Hopefully things will slow down a bit with all the transfers, but that's probably just wishful thinking.

This goes back to my reasoning of us being accepted in a P4 conference. Fans would flock here every year. Thousands maybe tens of thousands. Depending on the P4 and school. Every fan that has the capital would have UNLV circled as their go to road trip. It would unquestionably add value to the conference and excitement. Also would add more $ for us and IMO more NIL money would come our way. I think we could jump from border Top 25 to Top 10-15 in just a short few years. The NCAA and P4 want to use our city ,but not our TEAM?? It not like we are the UNLV of old anymore. We have the facilities ,winning and experience for EVERYONE!
