11 wins with qbs that are probably in bottom 25% as far as throwing

The one difference is I would bet anything we score more than 7 points in the title game with Maiava as QB.
Most likely true, but I think we also had an issue with Odom already busy interviewing for other jobs instead of preparing the team to play, and an offensive coach who was also busy looking for another job, thus the offense was not prepared to play.

Oregon State Staying In The Pac-12

OSU and WSU previously took action which indicated the universities intended on seeing if they can keep the Pac-12 alive. And now the four Mountain West teams going to the Pac-12 reinforces that notion.

The presidents of Washington State and Oregon State make up the conference’s board of directors. That means those leaders alone have the power to decide what to do with the Pac-12 and its resources like TV revenue.

Those resources will help make it possible for the Pac-12 to add several new teams.

We all do it, we tend to remember gaffes more. But it's not like Maiava didn't throw some that cost Rebs against Kansas in the bowl game.

I'm not suggesting Hajj is a better passer than Maiava, he's not.

But I don't want to read about Hajj's completion percentage and people not realize it's about the same as Maiava's.

Numbers don't tell the whole story but can't ignore them completely. Maiava turns the ball over at a pretty high clip. I think that over the course of the season it's bound to cost you a game. Flip side his arm likely wins us one. So ultimately a wash.

For the biggest game of the season, that single play completely flipped the momentum.

I can’t recall how much time was left on the clock when we got the ball, or exactly where we started on the field … but I do remember thinking at that moment in time that UNLV should just run out the clock instead of pressing it. For us to get the yards we needed in the time that was left on the clock, it was going to rely on using the air on successive plays. And that was a weak spot for us, especially when the defense no longer has to guess run and the whole quirky formation thing is nullified.

The best and safest way to get chunks we needed would have been Hajj scrambles or even designed runs.

But it’s super easy to Monday morning quarterback.
I am pretty sure we were in FG position because I remember saying take no chances and just get in better position.

Portal signings so far

The way the transfers are going, I think we are replacing significant losses with very capable players.

I think we upgraded at QB.
Equal replacement (size wise) at OL.
Kept a good RB and brought in a capable one (I’m willing to admit a downgrade from what we lost, though).
A same size TE that we utilize more, hopefully.
QB hard to say TE is a big downgrade unless this guy comes out of nowhere. No catches in three seasons doesn’t elicit a lot of confidence. We have some good offers and visits on the defensive side hopefully we make up for it there. Signed some WR’s from big schools also, would think good shot at least one of them pans out.

Taking a shot

I was at the LA Bowl and wanted to buy a commemorative game day football they had at the souvenir stand for my son but something came up and I had to leave early. Can’t find them for sale anywhere. Any one have any suggestions on where I can find one?
Not sure you can find a football, but they may have other items of interest? https://www.collegefootballnow.org/2024labowlapparel.html#/
