That is totally understood. UNLV having the best group of 5 schedule puts them a leg up on everyone as long as they keep winning!

Not necessarily.. it's CFP ranking that matters and that takes into account SOS, which UNLV might dominate if they continue winning.

Because they were sold on Hajj being the starter in the spring and then told Sluka was a dual threat but still wanted Hajj in the fall despite alot of us understanding Sluka would most likely take the job...so far the passing game hasn't been great, but there have been a ton of deep ball drops over the past few games that would make his accuracy and yardage a lot better... and I agree, his will to get the first down is carrying the team and that message is getting to everyone not in the WR Corp so far... Again, I dint think using the KU game as a barometer for passing is fools gold, KU has likely 2 corners who will at a minimum be drafted on day 2, and there's no one in the MWC with that defensive strength.

He isn’t bad he can run and has a lot of intangibles such as toughness as you mentioned. There were definitely some dropped balls. He also is very inaccurate at times. If he can somehow clean it up there, I think he has the chance to be very good, but the lack of accuracy is going to hurt against good teams. Less than 50% passing 3 straight games including a bad Utah Tech team has something to do with it too.

While I still think unlikely I think we can lose a game and still make it over most if not all undefeated teams.

I think it’s his 18-20 record outside of those 13 games, horrible start this season and 0-4 record since the 13 wins last season that have their alumni and fans a little jumpy.

I just re-watched the game and there were several dropped balls on long downfield passes. Also receivers stopping their routes on well thrown balls. Even the quick slant was a little high but catchable. I would have caught it. I know the receivers are better than that but sill got the W. Just watch the Sluka magic this year and hope he stays healthy!

Being dreadful in a P4 that had high preseason expectations...

A Top25 ranking for a program like ours is usually the kiss of death. A loss is coming soon after.

If we don't go to another conference, Kevin may be here for a while. We aren't attracting better coaches playing against SE Tech from Montana.
