Little confused on which team you were saying that they arent very good at all this year.
From what I have seen, Fresno has gone down a deeper rabbit hole than UNLV basketball!
If there was any pride in the program at unlv, the student section would be all over that with interesting signs.
Unfortunately this program has zero pride or enthusiasm going. Just going through the motions.
I predict UNLV 67 Fresno 58.
If the Rebellion were strong and unified … they’d have a field day with it.
I remember the students chanting “ra*pist” every time Marlon Parmer (UNM point guard, teammate of Dalron Johnson at Verbum Dei) every time he touched the ball because there were accusations.
After the game, he said the student chant didn’t bother him at all. But I’d think you wouldn’t even comment on it if you hadn’t heard it.
Boring or not tho, little flashes of fun and should come away with the dub even though they circle jerked a lead earlier.
Probably not returning, I think he’s going to medically redshirt and then transfer with 2 year eligibility left.
Well Fresno is actually pretty damn good. They hung tight with cal Baptist in one of their games, lost in OT but it was on the road, so there’s that. The home loss against cal Baptist, well, it was right before Christmas so they were probably looking forward to the holiday.
And to their credit, they did win a home game by double digits (11) over Prairie View, who is 0-11. They also looked pretty damn good at home against 1-9 Sac State by 7. They’ve been pretty darn good against Quad 4 teams at 4-2.
So please, don’t downplay this victory. It was a good win for the Rebels. Hopefully there’s enough juice in the tank left for Air Force, who, even though they are worse than Fresno across the board, are still a high quality opponent because they beat us by 30 last year.

Pretty bad when there are no posts regardless of game outcome, win or lose. Twitter was...crickets. Avg view count analytics of 100-900 views per post (even from official UNLV feeds) and in the 10's for non verified accounts with over 10k followers.. no replies, no favorites (roughly 0-5 each). Not even the hate threads, and that's rare considering it's Twitter. You've even lost the haters, not even they have anything to say anymore.
Even if we win out, I don't think there is saving interest. Offseason will need coach search posts on all socials. We are no longer stopping the bleeding, we are full blood transfusion mode. I am glad we won, for the players, and nothing more.
Harper seem seem uneasy greeting people making his rounds when only 5k in the seats. I don't know if wins alone can save kruger from that aspect of an disinterested following.. but its the same thing every year. Wait till next year. Well everyone constantly waiting until next year and same result.
Even when people are pissed off, angry … it’s emotion at least. Apathy is the killer.
It’s pretty bad when no one cares the coach is complimenting a dui killer and what a great kid he is.
Possibly, or preconditioning a spot on the Fresno state bench as assistant coach?
