A lot OT, but I’m going through some sh*t right now. If you’re into prayers or good vibes.

Little update. I didn't want to be too much of a downer, but 5 days after my wife was diagnosed with cancer my 9 year old daughter went into a coma for 40 hours. That was our family's introduction to her diabetes. We had no symptoms before that, just a day of vomiting and then she became unresponsive at 1 am on the morning of the 27th. She was in the PICU for 4 days and in the hospital for a total of 7 days. We're lucky she's alive. It was a miracle.

Your prayers and good vibes helped. I really did feel comfort and peace throughout that week.

Daughter is doing much better as we try to navigate diabetes with a 9 year old. They won't let us get the insulin pump until they are positive mom and dad can administer insulin the old fashioned way, just in case the pump malfunctions. We're giving her 4 shots a day and she's even giving herself shots. We were taking/testing blood 5-6 times/day, but she now has the monitor. So much easier. She's a strong little lady. Kids never cease to amaze me.

Wife went to the oncologist last week, got a PET scan on Friday, and meets with radiation oncologist today. She's scheduled for surgery in November at the latest and hope to get her in sooner. The PET scan results will determine if she needs additional surgeries and if she will need chemo as well. Fingers crossed.

It's nice to be amongst friends.
Yo dude I’m sorry about the bad news. Question about Brinley. Did you have classes from noon to evening because the school was so filled?

Is anyone surprised by this?

It is still isn't a bad move for Maiava. Lincoln Riley back-ups have been hot commodities and have done big things after transferring. Going there and riding the pine, but having a year or more under arguably the best QB developer in college football can still be a positive. The fact that Riley wanted him likely helped his future stock.
I agree it was the right move, but he didn't transfer to not play until his senior (or Jr. redshirt) season. It's the
Uiagalelei way. I wish the best for Maiava. Gave us a very good season, he's "from" Vegas, and he didn't play for Gorman (sorry Joe). 3 very big plusses for me.

Now back to Sluka and Hajj.

Is anyone surprised by this?

if Moss stays healthy this season, I have a feeling Maiava will be at school #3.

Remember when any article about UNLV was for the bottom 5.

I could see a 2 loss team get in over a Liberty but when was the last 2 loss season by a MWC team? Not counting Covid 10 years? It won’t be easy.
Most years at least one team in the MWC has a two loss season prior to the bowl games (this doesn't look at any of the schools that left the conference or prior to Boise State joining):

San Diego State 2021 12-2 including win in bowl game
Boise State 2019 12-2 including loss in bowl game
Air Force 2019 11-2 including win in bowl game
Fresno State 2018 12-2 including win in bowl game
Utah State 2018 11-2 including win in bowl game
San Diego State 2017 10-3 including loss in bowl game
Boise State 2014 12-2 including win in bowl game
Colorado State 2014 10-3 including loss in bowl game
Fresno State 2013 11-2 including loss in bowl game
Boise State 2012 11-2 including win in bowl game
Boise State 2011 12-1 including win in bowl game

There have also been another dozen plus games where teams have had 3 loses going into bowl games.

It really depends. I don’t see a 3 or 4 loss MWC champ making it. Of course it depends on how the other G5 champs fare, but I’d be surprised if there aren’t some that only end up with 0-2 losses.

UNLV lost at #1 Michigan 35-7 and Liberty lost to #6 Oregon on a neutral field 45-6. UNLV didn't even win the MWC tournament. I think 2 or 3 teams in the MWC were better than Liberty last season. I believe whomever wins the MWC championship game is very likely going to make it into the national championship tournament.
