PAC is playing checkers

But...
What if the Pac is "thriving" but UNLV is still out pacing them by dominating all 3 major sports and their revenue is only slightly behind the payouts the Pac 7 teams are receiving?.... who wins then?

A lot of ifs in both scenarios.

If UNLV is making the CFP or truly in the hunt consistently. UNLV.

If UNLV is getting overlooked because of a week conference schedule and a PAC team is getting in more often. The PAC.

You honestly can't tell me that we built The Mendenhall Center got handed the Fertitta Complex and play in a billion dollar stadium and the goal was to dominate the WAC 2.0.

In my opinion the ultimate goal is to be in a power conference before realignment goes bonkers again and we get left behind.

However that happens I don't care.

Someone pointed this out on Twitter...

And I couldn't agree more. The number of insufferable Oregon State fans trying to copy with their conference not being what they thought it would be, and punching "down" at UNLV, has multiplied rapidly this week.

Just me and this one other person, or does everyone now have crap from these goofs on their timelines?

WSU fans seem like..

JUST GET THIS DONE! I DONT CARE WHO IT IS!

OSU fans...

SCREW UNLV BUNCH OF SCRUBS. Why would we want them anyway! UTEP WOULD BE BETTER!

Sluka Redshirting and Transferring

Why is no one asking if unlv would have found the money if sluka was actually good?

We would see 9 in the box the rest of the season with sluka and his running lanes would be closed up.

This was a way to get rid of Sluka without benching him. We have a few great play makers on offense and Sluka was not getting them the ball. Coach said in presser after first game. Qb job is to get the ball to the play makers. He sure was not doing that.
Because the minute you do that, you would need to come up with a lot more money for players like Woodard, DeJesus, White III, etc. That is why I never believed anything out of the mouth of Sluka and family.

Sluka Redshirting and Transferring

Well that settles ALL my stresses and concerns. Hey everyone, Harvey Hyde says we’re gonna be fine
Well considering he coached Randall Cunningham I think he’d know a good QB when he sees one. He goes out to practice. He also always knows when we’re going to win. He text me during the Kansas game. When we were down. He thought we were going to come back. We did.

Coach Odom

More reason to extend now.
Get him on the hook for 3 mil for as many years that we can stretch it out. That will double his buyout or even more.
It protects us from poaching and I don't think he would mind either. Because only the schools that could afford the buyout would be the ones he would interested in anyway.
Win-win
Worse case we lose him and we can 20 mil back to go out and get a Patterson or Peterson.
Or he helps us get in the Big 12 and we can raise him even more
Yes. This would be the smart thing to do.

OK I feel I "little better" if this is true.

If PAC and the 4 were negotiating with the intent to break off and the 4 were simultaneously getting say in any decisions and possibly steering discussions in a direction that was beneficial to their exit plan, seems like a problem no?
Absolute no no.

Would be beyond any exit fees and penalties and into areas of direct harm… they’d get sued well beyond what they think they owe.

Basically, even if he signs, don't get comfy. Junk happens. Not a slight towards CBO in the least btw. I'd be just as happy and applauding an extension but it would not change my comfort in the slightest. Having someone else pick up the tab if that did happen would be gravy for our place.
If the program become successful because we have the initial capital to operates and the principles are sound, would you expect other sources of income we may be not accounted for? Like Merchandise for example, bowls incomes, TV revenues..etc
