Maiava was good for most of the year, a couple blips … but he’s been poor the last couple of games. But our running game hasn’t done dick either.

We talked about his leg strength. I figured it was two down territory on 3rd and 4 …. His leg is not strong. That he was THAT short was a surprise but that he was short wasn’t.

Maiava need to understand that he is one of the best QB prospect in college ball and starts act like it. So frustrating watching this growth and exciting at the same time. I just dont think Marion is the right teacher for Maiava but I think Marion is a good teacher and coach.

We are down by 18, 3rd quarter need to be a huge difference. We need at least a 10 pts difference in the 3rd. That OL need to blocks.
KU is playing cocky and loose because they know we can’t stop them and it’s leading to some showboating and excessiveness. You’d hope UNLV would put a stop to it.

Maiava’s mistakes is on him, not Marion. He’s making bad decisions because he is panicked. The last 3-4 games were all big games and it’s all new to him.
He’s seeing ghosts, spinning out of the pocket when there’s no pressure etc. He needs to calm down and slow down the decision making process.
I will say the coaching staff/ Odom aren’t making good situational calls. Turning down penalties etc.
