One of best defensive plays I have seen in a long time. Td rebs.
Wow that was an impressive lone defensive play. And much needed.
That's why you take risks on portal guys... this defense looks legit

Sluka isnt looking off defenders. He watches who he will throw to the entire time. He needs to read he other players
He needed camp to spend time with first team... it'll help moving forward but that's why I dislike having QBs constantly rotating in camp. Takes time for guys to get familiar with each other and their movements. He needs to make those progressions in his reads but Whites kind of a safety blanket that's hard to move from
I was thinking this as well.. He seems very predetermined with his decisions.. It’s not an issue as of tonight.. But something to monitor for sure..
We're making Houston look like they are an FCS team? Just why are they B12??

Defensively, very impressive but at the same time, you gotta wonder how good UH actually is. They didn’t recognize anything … UNLV defense or they suck? Probably a little of both?
You can see the speed. You can see the solid tackling. You could see the pressure … but how much of it is Houston isn't that good? Let’s see how they perform vs Oklahoma.

3rd and 6 for unlv and we run up the middle? Unlv offense looking worse as game goes along.
We should beat every team in the MWC like Tark beat every team in the Conference.. The only disappointment is that UNLV loses
Last year Mavia seemed to find the open guy. Sluka like Doug b., throw to guys tightly covered.

Sluka is a bonafide super star. He will make mistakes at this level....
Houston is definitely not n'sync. But, I think we're impressive and Odom is sending a message that our players don't just identify as men. We have some serious riduculous talent.
Never thought I would see a game where unlv defense far better than unlv offense.
I don't know how good Houston is but I think this team is for real
We don't play Kansas next week... we get Utah Tech to work out the kinks
Sluka had some good some bad. His two best plays were called back. That first one he threw cross his body and put it pretty far down field. Touchdown in the corner was perfectly thrown as well. Should’ve had a touchdown early in the game that he lobbed in there and the ball got there way too slow. He can definitely run the ball and not easy to bring down. Passing needs some work is pretty similar to that one game I saw him play last year. Hopefully next week is a game they can work out the kinks on offense.
Yeah, a week as the starter with the 1s, and a game where we should be able to work kinks out... part of everything as well is the helmet having the mic.. takes time to adjust to that and figure it out between players and coaches
I think you will be the only one watching that game. The rest of us will go to the game verse Utah Tech.
Defense is much improved. Offense needs some work. Even if Houston is bottom of Big 12 this was a great win!. Look forward to a great year!
