Interception/safety/penalty we should be up like Hawaii we are taking points off our board and putting them on for them.
The key with an exclamation point has to be worn to a nub. Also, same old same old is being ranked and laying an egg with a number next to your name!
We've had costly Penalties they have cost us touchdowns in several games. Is some warranted some not.Seemed like everything went wrong for the Rebels, didn’t play well offensively, defense was stout as hell.
I didn’t like the vibe until we put it away. The things that plagued the Rebels in losses, bad breaks, untimely penalties … were in this game as well, so it felt familiar.
Good team win.
And your keys that spell “m, e, n, z, i, e, s” are too!The key with an exclamation point has to be worn to a nub.
They suffer from battered fan syndrome I mean I get it no fan base has been abused quite like ours over the decades but it should be clear by now this isn’t the same staff as Jim Strong or Wayne Nunelly or Jeff Horton or Mike Sanford or Bobby Arroyo.Seriously guys, there are a ton of negative Nancy’s who give up too easily amongst us. 1st half was ugly but look at the freaking weather. Ya’ll gotta have more faith in this team!
That’s your first post in the history of Rebel Net that has less than 3 exclamation points! It started out very ugly, with the suspect play calling and the Hajj pick six but I was wrong when I said they would crap the bed by the looks of things at the time. I’m glad they improved enough to put them away anbut theywas wrong, goodnight

For about three quarters, it was following very closely to the types of losses/struggles we had. It looked eerily similar to our losses. Felt that way most of the game, then the overturned fumble, a couple of lame penalties to extend critical drives (that stalled). I was uneasy the entire game.Seriously guys, there are a ton of negative Nancy’s who give up too easily amongst us. 1st half was ugly but look at the freaking weather. And your first without mentioning Marv! That’s your first post in the history of Rebel Net that has less than 3 exclamation points!
I can find plenty of posts without it. We can’t find any aside from that previous post of yours without an exclamation point. Doesn’t matter the topic. An

SJSU had zero yards in the fourth quarter, and only around 40 for the entire second half. Now that is a defense! For about three quarters, it was following very closely to the types of losses/struggles we had. It looked eerily similar to our losses. Felt that way most of the game, then the overturned fumble, a couple of lame penalties to extend critical drives (that stalled). I was uneasy the entire game.
I have no issue with not passing. SJSU is one of the top passing teams in the country, and they got very few yards in the air. A torrential downpour changes the game of football! The UNLV offense did exactly what they needed to do minus a couple of bad plays on both sides of the ball.I liked the running game in the rain in the 2nd half..
I don’t miss that weather at all when I lived in Northern California.
Nailed it...Field and weather conditions for tonight's game should heavily favor UNLV... I cant see SJSU throwing 40 times in the sloppy conditions without a lot of errors. And they cant run the ball very well at all, almost near the bottom of the stats. Punting I can also foresee being a big issue if the field conditions are bad, which means we might see another RW3 special...
Nailed it...
But really, defense did an excellent job holding them to 112 yards, holding Nash to 1 catch, etc...

Good team win.
Punter and kicker are players of the game. Taking that saftey was High IQ. Plus hitting a 52 yard Fg won us the game.
1984 was the last time so only 40 years!9-2, I have never seen these numbers defined UNLV football. This is historical.
TOP 40 to 20.Elements played a big role.
OL took over that game in the second half.
Under Sanchez or Arroyo this was the type of game that typically slipped away where we dug too big of a hole and came up short or just got buried.
Marion adjusted the run game some and the OLine started to just lean on SJSU.
Hajj hit just enough big plays to keep drives alive and prevent SJSU from selling out against the run completely.
Honestly as bad as Rebs played in the first half, I never got that 'here we go again' feeling.
It was at this point that I knew we were going to win. Nostradamus strikes again.Same old same old, looks like another loss to the Spartans!
It was a grind it out, good win for the Rebels. It sure as shit didn’t feel that way as the game unfolded, I really thought it was going to be one of those “kick me in the gut, our own worst enemy” types of losses. Until Jet started getting some chunks and it was noticeable SJSU was wearing down, it became - steady; just steady, no turnovers.Weather played an outsized role in the game overall, but especially the first half. All things being equal, if you take away the two really bad plays, the Rebels had a very effective game plan and basically destroyed SJSU.
SJSU had to burn several TOs on Defense because they were either getting steamrolled or were ill prepared, and ultimately had to resort to “injury” TOs to slow things down in the second half.
Giving up 9 points on turnovers in a game you’re only favored by 7, on the road no less, would usually be the death knell… but the plan was solid and wore SJSU out.
That's been a big plus for us all the running we do , and we hardly ever fumble. It was a grind it out, good win for the Rebels. I’m ecstatic to be honest. I just wanted to escape there with a win.

Nah, once they start to establish a new normal, they’ve gotta be consistent with it before I have faith.Gotta have faith man!
Nobody would have looked good passing with that rain storm!TOP 40 to 20.
That’s a different game for the Rebs. That’s not UNLV’s game.
But that’s a credit to the D. How many 3 and outs for SJSU? 7? Allowed only 3 third down conversions…
We definitely wore them down and had some time chewing drives.
Passing was awful. Hajj wasn’t close. Ricky with a couple of straight drops. But as bad as ours was, SJSU’s was worse.
I’m not going to lie, wasn’t too excited at halftime. But, this team has proven to be super solid all year long, even in the two losses. Best thing for us was that the weather never let up. Really took the passing game out of SJSU’s hands, which is their only strength.Nah, once they start to establish a new normal, they’ve gotta be consistent with it before I have faith.
The normal always prevails to me until it’s uprooted. I sometimes wish I did have it, but blind faith has never been easy for me.
