Odom finishes strong and we are looking?

Year 2 with Scherer has been very good. I do think our offense will be more effective. And we know that Marion is the sole architect of the offense.
Odom gives Scherer all the credit, but Odom is the type of guy that would give his assistants credit oven if he has a major role. So hard to say.
But I think Scherer should be seriously considered if it comes to that. But I can also see Odom bringing Scherer with him and potentially paying him more than we would offer as a HC.
I would lean towards somebody with HC experience yeah.
But I wouldn't rule out assistants entirely.
What current HC would UNLV be in the market to poach, lol... I mean maybe current soon to be former, like 100% I'd call Napier if he was available after Florida cans him and if we had an opening...
I really like our current staff with everyone in their current roles.
If Dave Aranda gets the boot at Baylor and immediately is back out on the market, what do we think about him as a candidate?

I'd be down for that. He left a consulting role at Baylor prior to this season starting.
I do wonder where he stands on the NIL and recruiting side of the house. I'd expect him to be good to go as long as he's got skin in the game.

Texas State HC I'd give a look at.
Crazy thing. He's making 800k at Texas State. UNLV just started paying that kind of money recently.
Also a school I'd consider if MWC looks to rebuild.

He's my number 1 on the list with Chris Peterson a near 2nd... they don't need to do the full rebuild, just come in, and keep things going
I can see Patterson not wanting to play the NIal game. I think he was outspoken about the transferring thing and that was before NIL.

What are we even doing on this thread?!?! Let's get more threads about next weeks game and our chances of making the CFP, instead of speculating that our coaches are going to leave and trying to find a replacement for them. I get there is a chance some coaches might leave if we have a great season, but it's like we're soo used to losing that coach Carousel thread has to come up even if we're winning.
In fairness to us, we usually can't expect nice things, so we'll find a black cloud for any silver lining!
