CSU is coming off a tough loss at Boise.

Hopefully our offense can keep some of this positive momentum from this very good performance at Hawaii. CSU is #90 against the run allowing 191 ypg and #77 against the pass allowing 234 ypg. They dont turn it over much but did have to switch back to Stevens at QB after their starter Hill went down against WYO.

Like most MW teams this is a game that the Rebels can win if they play like they did in Hawaii and against Fresno. Lets hope the D tackles much better which we do at home but need to create a few turnovers. Hopefully Walls is back to help get some pressure off the edge (missed last 2 games).

Season ticket holders please take advantage of the 4 Free Tix promotion and get some butts in seats. they are also honoring Cunnigham at this game. Should be a fun Afternoon Tilt with Great weather.

Great chance to put us back at .500 and up to four wins. Would love too see this team get to six wins on the season, would give a lot of momentum heading it to next season.

It's been nice avoiding the weekly bottom ten that UNLV used to be on more times than not.

A performance that might have gone unnoticed was from Jericho Flowers. Was moved over from DB to help with WR depth. Had a nice carry on a WR Sweep early and made a crucial catch on a 3rd down to keep a late drive moving. Watch for his role to possibly grow as he continues getting comfortable in his new role. Looked really natural out there and was also a solid blocker in the run game.

CSU's line play was very good vs BSU, on both sides of the ball. Their O line is very physical, skilled at getting away with holding, and opened some big holes. Their D line line frequently stoned McNichols, especially in the first half and fourth quarter. They have been inconsistent, but they will fight to the bitter end, as BSU and USU will attest.

Considering the butterfingers our receivers have had from time to time this season, that 3rd down catch for Flowers was incredible. Lots of guys stepped up yesterday. Was fun to see. That seems like a game we lose by 2+ touchdowns after the terrible break on the catch/fumble/dead ball that went against us late in the game and they went up 38-31.

I saw that UNLV open up as a 2 pts fav. I got a feeling that this is gonna be a blowout and the Rebs are the one that dishing out this blowout.

The 28-23 score in the BSU v CSU game was a little bit on the deceptive side of things. The score was 28-3 until there were only 5 minutes left in the game at which point CSU scored their first TD of the game. Until that point there only score was at the start of the game on a short field field goal. With 5 minutes left in the game CSU scored, on there only good drive up to that point of the game, and then kicked two onside kicks back to back and recovered both and went on to score TD's. It appears more like BSU had put on the brakes and almost got caught sleeping.

The offense of BSU had 444 total yards to 191 yards prior to the TD and follow up two onsite kicks and two more TD's. Just don't let them do any onside kicks and UNLV should be fine.

That's good to know. I caught the score at one point and I thought I saw that CSU was leading and BSU had to come back. It makes me feel a little better that wasn't the case.

CSU is like most MW teams right now. Solid game followed by a poor performance. They are in the 2nd year of their coaching staff so you can see where they are playing lots of young bodies as well.

Sneed looked really sharp at Hawaii and the ground game should keep moving. We have still only given up 4 sacks on the year which will come in big this game as CSU is pretty solid at getting pressure. Need the WR's, TE's to have another good game so the offense can keep them guessing. The Defense will bounce back and I think we will have a chance to create a few turnovers this game.

If Coach Cotton is willing to call another game like he did against Hawaii, I like our chances to put points on the board, keep our defense fresh, and get the W.

Another thing to point out was that most of the game was played in a downpour. Sperbeck had a couple of very uncharacteristic drops. And, after a 163 yard 3TD outing against UNM the previous week, Ced Wilson only got in on ST. Doghouse? I dunno. Harsin is pretty tight-lipped when it comes to his guys not playing. Anyway, Wilson was the guy who recovered the third onside kick by CSU, so he wasn't hurt.
