43 runs in 3 games! Need to work on the defense some, giving up 29 runs in 3 games is usually a recipe for disaster, but great job Rebels. Lets complete the sweep. When's the last time UNLV swept a 4 game series?

We've hit our fair share of HR's but really this team is playing smart ball when it comes to finding gaps, runnings the bases and hit and runs being called at the right time by Chambers.

UNLV wins 8-2. Sweeping the 4 games series.
Players of the Game:
Tyler Iodence went 8IP 3H 2ER 4BB 4K's.
Brandon Bayardi Offensive player of the game went 1 for 2 with 4RBI's, the only hit being a Grand Slam in the first inning. He also gathered 2 walks.

CMU won the MAC Championship last season. As for this season they're 2-2 after splitting a series with Florida Gulf Coast.

Nice stuff ScoresMan I'm sure the Rebel Baseball Family appreciates you...Glad to see we got a good outing from a starting pitcher....I'm sure TC is happy with the "W's" but down the road we'll need better pitching or else!!! Pre season I was told that defense,speed and improved pitching would be the keys to this team....Glad they're off to a good start...Thanks for the coverage!!!

UNLV wins the series finale 5-2 as Tyler Iodence goes the distance giving up only 2 runs on 6 hits. Cook and Jimenez each drive in 2 runs in the win.
UNLV moves to 7-1 on the year with a very impressive start.
The Rebels travel to Texas Tech for their first road series of the year.

UNLV lost game 1 and I think it was expected. The timing of the game wasn't great as they couldn't start a regular as this would be the 4th day of rest.
With that being said, it wasn't a terrible blow out and besides two inning they could of been in the game.
We'll see how they answer back in tomorrows game.

UNLV split the 2 game series with Texas Tech 1-1 taking the second game 4-3. The Rebels got out to a 4-0 lead but Texas Tech crawled back into it with a 2 run HR that cut the lead to 1. Zack Hartman came in and got the 6 out save allowing 1 hit in those 2 innings.

UNLV sweeps Reno moving their record to 11-2 on the new year. A very impressive start for Coach Chambers and the Rebels as they face their toughest challenge in Arizona so far this season. A good home outing could go a long way to turning some heads as a legit team this season.

UNLV splits the series with Arizona coming back from a 7-0 hole to win 9-7. A huge 7th inning bring in 9 runs capped the Rebels win over #14 ranked Arizona.
UNLV next takes on Valporaiso in a 4 game set this Friday-Sunday in Vegas.

What the paper said about the UNLV game yesterday makes sense. It appears that when the game got out of hand, Chambers brought in some of the back up players to get them play time in a big time game.
Today UNLV came alive for 1 inning to take the game 9-7. UNLV will need to continue working on their game, but it was a great win!

UNLV defeats UC-Irvine 4-3 to run their record to 18-6.
UNLV had 4 runs on 9 hits and 0 errors.
The Rebels head on the road for a couple weeks first landing in New Mexico this Friday through Sunday, 3 game set with the Lobos.
