How could it be that Colorado State is 13th in the country and we are 135th?

You would think some entity had to purposely sabotage the program to get that bad.

Can't score, can't rebound, can't defend.

At least we are one of the countries slowest teams. If we sped it up our competitors would have more possessions to dominate us even worse.

Not even to Christmas and we already know we'll need a miracle at the MWC Tourney to get to post season.

We are, what, 3-3 with no good wins, a couple bad losses …

Of course the cancelled game … as it should have been in light of the tragedy … that takes precedence and should have been cancelled … but given we were a 10 point underdog, not playing well, without a key player … record wise, could be sitting at 3-4.

But there is ZERO excitement, anticipation … we have a game tomorrow against a really bad team, should be a win … but how many people actually care? Looking at our crowds this year … really, really bad. … again, I do consider that a good barometer of program health, not record. It’s very slow growth Marvish right now … have we sunk lower than Marv? I never thought it was possible, not in my worst dreams could UNLV have more empty seasons than Marv. I don’t think it’s that bad, but at this point, I don’t know?

Still a lot of basketball left. I don’t have a good feeling, I don’t know anybody that does. People that have any sort of confidence seem to be the type that should be in solitary confinement with a straight jacket on. I know several people here pumped things up a bit, myself, I thought we would be a 5th place, potential NCAAT fringe type of team … and that’s so far off it’s not even funny. I really missed, sure, a lot of hoops left … but man, oh man.

I have to check daily if there’s a game going on later. That’s insane to me. I used to be able to rattle off every date and location with ease.

Somebody mentioned watching the Rebels is like heading to the old folks home to watch a loved one with Alzheimer’s .. that’s harsh for anybody that has experienced it, but it is what it feels like.

Is there a unique virus going on? I’ve been sick since Monday. Started with chills, body aches, headache and a cough. Then a couple of hours after that I couldn’t hold any fluid downs. I still can’t today when my Zoran wears an off. Which I hate because the medication makes me very sleepy. This virus feels like a hybrid between stomach virus and a cold. I couldn’t handle it as I needed to go to the ER last night.

A couple of players/commits have messaged me and asked me to let them know if the staff was recruiting players from the portal at their position and if someone from their position group was going to commit.

This is interesting to say the least..

SDSU is playing at Grand Canyon. Their fans are crazy not a place Id schedule a game as a ranked team, however this year GCU's NET is 56 so its a Quad 1 game so it actually is a nice win if you can get it. They are 33-6 at home the last 2 plus seasons. Read stadents have camped out since Saturday for tickets.

Yesterday the President of the NCAA floated the Idea of splitting the schools into haves and haves nots. The rich schools must guarantee an income to all their athletes. No exact numbers, but $ 8 mil a year to enter the "club" minimum with no maximum was discussed in forums. ( we only get $ 4 mil from our TV contract whereas the average payout for P5 schools is $ 30 mil. ) No discussion on how the NCAA Tourney would fit or would it be a p5 only Tourney. A pessimist could assume the "OUT" programs would be similar to current FCS programs.

They just played a mutual opponent and blew Creighton out by twenty one points. At basically a home game for The losing team. NICO It's doing a hell of a job in colorado. I wouldn't mind him being on the final list.

Will be way out of UNLV’s price range … NIL has been growing, UNLV is doing a good job with it. But we aren’t going to able to afford some ungodly number like power schools can.

That said, I’m assured UNLV will get high quality, game ready types ….
