I don’t know much about this guy at all. And I also gotta admit, this does absolutely zero to pump me up.

What I like is he has experience in a Power conference. Success? Nah, moderate … so it doesn’t excite me.

Last 20 years, nobody has had D1 HC experience let alone power conference. And we failed with those guys.

I don’t know how it’ll turn out. But man, seriously, I’m not going to peg it as a failure just because it’s not a big name.

From Ron Meyer, Tony Knap, Nunnely, Strong, John Robinson, Sanchez and Arroyo. I’ve gone to the press conference announcing the new hires. Didn’t go to yours today Barry. Not because I’m not excited, just didn’t want to fight traffic, parking etc. I want to say, your opening statement and subsequent radio interviews blew me away. I’m ecstatic you are our ( my) new coach. You “get” it already. Make the team Vegas’s team. Recruit local players. Take advantage of being in the most exciting city in the USA. I’m thinking and hoping you can become the Jerry Tarkanian of Rebel Football. Good luck on your endeavor.

He did not recruit at a high level when he was in the SEC at Missouri. Please tell me things will be verry Different this time. I understand that he is a good evaluator of talent.

Yeah, I know it's early in the season and one bad loss can derail everything, but UNLV is showing up on Bracketology as a First Four Out team. I suppose they have a hard time ignoring 8-0, regardless of schedule. It's still odd though that the polls both have the Rebels as ranked 35-40th and they can't sneak into the top 68 in Bracketology.

Sure Ed as purely an X and O guy might be behind a guy like a Patterson or Peterson, but he can recruit, he could put a staff together I'm sure and makes UNLV a player in the portal.

and go local with DeMarco Murray? He’s local. He’s experienced. No head coaching experience. But we got lucky with locals Kruger and La Rocque. If Murray can tap into the Gorman pipeline, I’m good with it.
