OT: Hypocrisy in politics

The way I explain it, and the reason why I left politics is that it is all a game. Career politicians have become proficient at creating controversy to distract Americans from the real issues that are impacting citizens.

Its a dog and pony show of being able to blame each other for why very little is getting done. The longer they take, the more money the collect from doing pretty much nothing.

A lot (not all) of these politicians are friends. They’ll hate each other in public, but go golfing together on weekends.

OT: Hypocrisy in politics

I listen political podcasts/radio from both sides of the aisle.. I agree with something Jesse Kelley says... Vote local, control locally what you can... No single person is going to instantly fix DC by being elected.
Too many lifers in DC that are more concerned with their own little power than the good of American families. That's a true statement for both parties, with a small minority who actually do care or try to care about their neighbors.

I don’t think Trump has a plan to get us out of this mess..

We are all f*cked.

The third choice just comes from a family of politicians..yuck.
Its hard to be a career politician without some corruption. I’ve worked for three of them (in official office capacities, not campaigns). All of them had some wrinkle that would make me not vote for them.

I can’t imagine how bad it would be working on either staff.

Question for Rebel Fans

I know who youre talking about, and I know he likes to drive alot of conversation from a self appointed Pedestal to alot of Rebel fans who werent around during the "good ole day"...

That said, I dont think you build a statue just because he's done something other coaches here havent.. I mean it took Tark how many years to get a statue built and he won a freaking national championship. So if thats the bar youve set, you cant lower it for winning or even qualifying for the CFP.. Not to mention, where would you put the statue, in front of the practice facility? Cant do it at the stadium.. but besides that, theres a bar for building statues. just simply winning games unless its for like 30 years wouldnt meet that bar.
"self appointed pedestal" LOL

The biggest loser in that debate was America. What an absolute shit show. I can’t believe these two are the best options we could come up with. We need to have a maximum age limit for President.

MW reaches "deal" with TNT, will air games on their networks this season.

It is interesting that UNLV, Boise State and Hawaii are the only teams not playing on the TNT network. Says a lot about the popularity of UNLV football this coming year!
They mostly favor SJSU and NM as they weren't getting much air time with the current MWC media partners. TruTV will at least pick them up otherwise they may have been destined for the MWNetwork. SDSU will also get picked up by TruTV vs Texas A & M - Commerce. It's just their third year as division 1. I wouldn't expect much revenue from this programming.

So I have no idea if this will do anything to the existing TV contract. Technically turner is a part of CBS, or more accurately the other way around. The article has no mention of any changes in terms of compensation with this deal.

Also worth noting, there will be zero UNLV games this season with these networks.

I would imagine that could/should increase payouts. Would we offer these games up for free? Or is it just an extension of the CBS contract? Unknown.
