Such a wonderful site to see last night! Just awesome, really brought a smile to my face seeing that many Rebel fans in attendance and a VGK game was going on at the same time.
CU was sold out this past weekend, attendance was 51,030!Metrics: Playing a weak Reno team this week, it appears that UNLV had larger home game attendance this week than Boise, WSU, SDSU, Colorado and Fresno. WSU led the way with approximately 17,000 paid attendance for their inspirational loss to Wyoming.
Anyone know who the recruits were at the game?We were sitting by the reno section. By far the bulk of the stadium was in red. This has to have been our largest “home” crowd ever.
I’m betting we spark some commitments for the recruits that were at this one. That was a fun and loud stadium home crowd tonight.
In my opinion, it's good to be petty on this subject. It irks me every time I see Nevada instead of UNR. Their official name is University of Nevada Reno. Its the brainchild of the athletic department and not the official name of the University. I'll join your pettiness, with good reason. GO REBELS!Hey @wolfgang jayn how you feeling right now?
I tried to look up info on the University of Nevada and found nothing. Oddly enough unr.edu takes me right to your University's website.
You are and will forever be UNR no matter how much you try to distance yourself from your city.
Happy holidays!
Enjoy Chode for the next 4 years....
I could see if some teams are on the fence where a CFP appearance would push them over.Agree with all that.
However if the Big12 is in play I don't think result of MWC championship game would in anyway be a deciding factor. (Not being argumentative) I think if there is any BIG12 talk going on the decision has already been made one way or another..There might be some provisions or criteria the BIG12 would want to see UNLV meet (Plans for investment into programs etc) But otherwise UNLV has probably already been told Yep/Nope or Yep but you gotta do this...
Win Friday certainly wouldn't hurt the optics..
Im trying to understand the CFP. The 5 ranked conference champions are in. MWC is be considered in that top 5 according to what I've read. Only one team will come out of the 5th ranked conference, and that will be either UNLV or Boise, depending who wins the Championship game, right? However, if the league is ranked #4, does that mean MWC may get more than one team in if UNLV wins? It's really confusing.
I said 39 because he had 2 long carries called back by holding. Those are still miles and body blows, even if they didn't count
Link PleaseFYI UNLV Tickets has their allotment up for sale already. Just grabbed mine x3.
I read a column by Steve Carp, he said that Harper is talking with Odom but won’t get into specifics in terms of anything. I suspect it’s to give Odom a big contract and big staff raise.
The conference will pay unlv 25 million, most of which will cover the department deficit. The rest could feasibly be used for extending coaches. There’s also donor support and other means to keep Odom. One way I’d be curious to see if Harper would use some of the contract language that Lon Kruger implemented to receive a percentage of the gate for all home games.
I’d also be curious to see if there’s any Big12 rumblings starting up after next week IF we win. A potential invite would be a great incentive for a HC like Odom.

Reno pulled off the Arroyo special in MWC play.Watching that rock fight is one way of putting it...
Reno and SDSU both claimed to have made good hires and then both go out and win 3 games...
To be fair, no AD would come out and say, “we took the budget friendly mediocre approach.”Watching that rock fight is one way of putting it...

Watching that rock fight is one way of putting it...Loved watching AF beat SDSU on Senior Night in San Diego.
Seems to me like this is a team of destiny right now and beating a team we haven't in 50 years seems like a thing destiny would want...
Seems to me like this is a team of destiny right now and beating a team we haven't in 50 years seems like a thing destiny would want...I took little pleasure in Reno's misery. I would be thrilled we can beat BSU in the next game. UNLV have not beat Boise State since 1976? Long over due..
And the NOT so important fbs results this week:![]()
Tony Sanchez and NMSU were up 24-7 over our future conference mates and proceeded to end up with a big "L". UTEP 42 NMSU 35.
