When you’re the optimistic one, we are in trouble. 🤣Do you think Mullen is a home run hire, didn’t you say that? If so do you think he deserves the benefit of the doubt or do you think you know best? Nobody is predicting anything but I think if Mullen was the guy, you wait to gripe until next season, I will wait and see!
You’re killing it with these threads. Thank you!
Really Texas State?? Are we spending our new $5M budget so far? Or saving it for something big? Maybe RB not as big of a need in his offense?Login to view embedded media
Wish Greg the best of luck, but with him being a local and future star here, this hurts a bit.
We may dislike him more because of it but it doesn’t make his passing better. I saw him play last year and said when he came that he could run but was an inaccurate passer and missed guys too many times for my comfort and we didn’t see anything to change that perception. That's not entirely accurate... Sluka beat Hajj out after basically 3 weeks in camp. Hajj was here all Spring and summer. The fact that Sluka struggled with his passing in 2 road games vs Big 12 defenses is an aberration and because he walked away we will always have a jaded view and never got to see him get into real rhythm. There was certainly a talent gap and we got the most out of Hajj we could've expected but his struggles vs Boise and Cal show why he got beat by a guy with 3 weeks of practice... again, our judgement on the matter is skewed because Sluka quit.
Wild…. Or he actually got more NIL at Texas state and will be their number one back. I hate college sports now

If it was that boneheaded a move, and the agent was the reason, it is another step towards me wondering why more players haven't started to sue the agents?
Omg I get it, you don’t like the guy! LolBecause he can't see over the line.
Go back and RE-read!He's a tiny QB. If he keeps running like he does he's going to get his head handed to him sooner than later.
Goddamn you for making me google that. His real name is Ethan Toothstain Grinch
If it was that boneheaded a move, and the agent was the reason, it is another step towards me wondering why more players haven't started to sue the agents?Yep he goes out. Tests the waters at the behest of an agent. Schools he said might be interested don't offer much if anything in NIL, UNLV signs RB from Utah plus Jet returning. Running back room getting full Texas State says we have room and you have a good shot at starting. Maybe a little NIL on top.. Agent says put a good year on tape bigger offers will come and back to the portal he will go..Agent still gets a little cut regardless of how small. With a chance for more again next year.
Because he can't see over the line.He uses his legs to create passing, not just to run!
Ehh, I think we saw enough from Sluka to know that he was a poor passing QB, but a great running QB.That's not entirely accurate... Sluka beat Hajj out after basically 3 weeks in camp. He's a tiny QB. If he keeps running like he does he's going to get his head handed to him sooner than later.I also think he can run when needed and while that may not be an RPO run first guy, I think he is the type that can create passing with his legs on roll outs and moving the picket type plays.
He may not be “the” guy as far as portal rankings go but I think he was at least very high on Mullins list of guys to get!
That tells me he didn't think he was going to play much this coming season by moving down to Texas State.Login to view embedded media

This landing seems off to me. I have no proof, but something tells me his agent took him for a ride and promised him P4 opportunity. My guess is that those offers fell through, and by the time he recognized he was being taken for a ride, Unlv recruited over him.
Mullen said players were welcome to look. I imagine that also means do so at your own risk. Mullen doesn’t have to guarantee that he’ll save your seat on the bus.
Saw his last name, thought he might be a firecracker.Close..
A 'high motor' guy..
