Had they brought us in at the very beginning instead of trying to **** us we wouldn't be having this discussion.
Just take Reno and call it a day..Don't get me started on Teresa. This (Texas State) is her idea of "swinging for the fences" as she said in September. Bitch.
I stumbled across a Utah State Board and the consensus there was that Texas State was a disappointment. So if our new bottom feeder is unhappy, how do you think WSU should feel?
But still, UNLV should love and trust the Pac. We are like a big cuddly St. Bernard.
That is the point. They lose money and now they are going to be spending the revenue that pays for the scholarships and cost of athletics as income for the athletes, thus leaving athletic departments further in debt. It isn't sustainable!Gross not net.

Reno?? I guess I can see that...1% annual population growth doesn't just grow on trees. They should hit 600K by 2200.must be contingent on Tulane and Memphis in additon to Texass St, so that would help a little bit with travel. I flew from Nashville (slightly closer than Memphis) to Hartford a couple of months ago and its only a 2 hour flight. So any of those schools being talked about are not bad for travel.
I heard an interview with Karl Benson yesterday (take it for what its worth) and he said UNLV and Reno make the most sense.
Red pill of courseUNLV recent on field success and serious commitment to football (CDM and staff) has forced a change in the MATRIX (metrics)! Red pill or Blue pill?
Thought I read that department of education is saying even if the money comes from a collective, title IX will still apply. Schools are still responsible for this money going to players. The simple fact is the minute they allow school funds to be used, then they are going to make it equal, so the easy way is to leave it with the boosters and let them just go wild like they are doing now.
Big reason why I hate when we have a weak ooc schedule. Tune up games are fine but you're going to have to get these kids ready to battle and they aren't going to learn that playing against mwc teams with mwc officiating.Watching a game now. It’s incredible how much rougher they play and the refs allow it. No wonder the Mountain West comes up short in the NCAA. DTJ would be hospitalized by the third conference game.
Gross not net.Simple fact is that 95% of athletic programs lose a lot of money, how can they talk revenue sharing when the revenue doesn't even come close to covering the scholarship expense let alone any profit.
Simple fact is that 95% of athletic programs lose a lot of money, how can they talk revenue sharing when the revenue doesn't even come close to covering the scholarship expense let alone any profit.Without reading anything, a loophole and honestly a fair way to look at this is revenue sharing is broken down by individual sport revenue generation.
Football generates the most, probably followed by men's basketball then perhaps women's basketball or baseball depending on the school.
Even if media revenue is shared partially they could break down ticket sales NCAA individual sport championship sharing etc to slide the scales towards the money sports.
Don't you trust us? The media deal will be lots of millions. With Texas State the Pac captures the Houston, San Antonio, and Austin markets. ESPN, ABC, Fox, etc. are damn near drooling over this development.Do they have a confirmed media deal dollar amount yet? I don't know how UNLV, Memphis, or Tulane could commit to the PAC without having hard numbers to use in the decision process
That means they think we would be the 4 seed, not ranked #4. They are saying we’d get the G5 bid and the MWC would be the 4th ranked conference title winner.
