It better happen this year. A lot of the players were told about new training facilities, and if they don't come through that would really hurt future recruiting.
Told that it was expected that ground breaking would be early this year. Of course, now we're in March. Were they given a date?
(Curious what you may have heard, not questioning or stirring the pot)
So you think these recruits are coming for facilities that won't be completed for 2 years. Ummm. Don't think so. It may be a influencer but it's not a decision making factor for these recruits. It will have the maximum impact when completed versus just talked about. It better happen this year. Still early right? Early in the year would anything April and earlier?Told that it was expected that ground breaking would be early this year. Of course, now we're in March.
I actually follow every UNLV football and almost all recruits and I've never seen mention of a facility. I actually have Twitter 'lists' created recruits, current players, and coaches separately. If you do not think a new training facility has anything to do with these players coming to UNLV, then you need to follow their twitter accounts and you may think differently. On numerous occasions, current recruits mentioned during their school visits about how they were told that UNLV would be getting new facilities. First, if there was no importance in new training facilities, why would coach Sanchez bring it up to the potential recruits? Second, if it was not important to the recruits, why would they mention it during/after their visits?
If it has very little or no importance to these players, then they would not have mentioned it at all. As for the time period to build new facilities, they would lose only 1 of their four years not two years if the facilities were under construction this spring. If they started now, they would have a year and a half to finish construction prior to the 2017-2018 season. It takes approximately 8 months to build a facility of this type and since there are no offsite improvements included, and about 6-8 months for improvement plans to be approved.
I would say that it's still "early" technically because it's March 2nd today. However, any reasonable person would acknowledge that time is running out.Still early right? Early in the year would anything April and earlier?
Time is running out on what? Recruits have been signed this year and although recruiting is ramping up for 2017, we are just fresh off signing day.I would say that it's still "early" technically because it's March 2nd today. However, any reasonable person would acknowledge that time is running out.
Time is obviously running out on what would still be considered early in the year. You defined that as >Time is running out on what? ...
There are only 28 days left and, therefore, time is running out on the "expected ground breaking". If I wasn't able to clarify that enough for you, please don't hesitate to ask and I'll try to help you out further.... Early in the year would anything April and earlier...
OK. No need for further clarification but I could use help on changing my U joints on my car. I think maybe my post came across differently than intended. I just didn't know if there was another timeline. My bad.Time is obviously running out on what would still be considered early in the year. You defined that as >
