Not comprehensive, just noting I've seen two now and not seen them posted here.

Entering the portal:

OL Alani Makihele
WR Zyell Griffin

Have I missed others?

Zyell Griffin - A bench player that had a total of 3 receptions for 24 yards for the season.

Not sure how much Makihele played?

Jerrae Williams is also gone.

Makihele leaving hurts. I believe he was a starter on the O line.

Odd timing for Makihele. Was his spot being challenged in Spring Ball?

Makihele was a lower level recruit that only had offers from Idaho and Hawaii and was brought to UNLV as a project player due to his size and potential. If the coaching staff was able to turn him into a starter on the offensive line, then I am sure they can find another offensive player to replace him who is just as good or better.

Agree, but one position group I like to keep as much continuity as possible is OL.

Not a devastating loss, but a guy that has some starts and familiarity with the system.

It has to be this!

And guys who are starters last year transferring out means the competition has been turned up a notch, which is a good sign for recruiting and player development!
This is what I am hoping, and it makes logical sense. But the transfer portal doesn't seem like it need to be logical these days.

It is..

But losing quality/solid depth isn't great either.

If he's been recruited over as a starter. that's one thing.

Depth and continuity/familiarity on the O-Line are important.

Yes but kids don’t see it that way and you know this.
This is the transfer portal age, get demoted, leave for greener pastures!
Depth is very important but hard for a school like UNLV because guys come here to start not sit and play as a backup, I do not like it but it’s the way it is!

100%

I'm more saying it's nothing to brush off.

He was solid. Not spectacular. If he's been passed over that's a good thing.

There is a downside to it though we agree on, which is depth.

See miracles do happen.

We agreed on something ..

We both care about the Rebels so there is something else we agree upon as well!

Can the two of you message this privately to each other instead of being so open about it here?
