Where can I find news on Rebels Spring practice?

Some small blurbs locally in RJ. Twitter Caleb Herring has a little bit.

I miss being able to go to spring practices under Hauck and Sanchez.
Overall it is a good trade off considering how much better the team was under the first year of Odom as coach! I would rather know nothing about the practices of a good team than everything about the practices of a bad team.

Yeah, I would rather have a successful year too than news. But, it's frustrating.

Three players that have stood out are Kela Moore, Jett Elad, and Christian Moore. Damien McDaniel just got to campus and hes been making plays already.
I expect this will be another season of Odom and staff picking up under the radar players who end up showing a lot more than was expected. Kela Moore has a 247 of 82; Jett Elad was an 82 247 rating CC recruit that I believe had no offers and did a very good job as a defensive back last season; Christian Moore was a great pickup transfer; Damien McDaniel had a few good offers, so was not an under the radar player.

What about the QB, how does Hajj look?
I dont take too much out of how QBs look right now when they are not going full speed all the time, but Hajj has looked better than most have expected. Him and Casey are very close. I am close to changing my prediction on who QB1 will be.

My observations last year about Maiava were a bit different because he came out of nowhere and I was surprised to see how much the team gravitated to a third string QB (he was that at the time).

So how does this shake out when Sluka ends up on campus? Would seem strange that if the QB1 battle is leaning towards one player in Spring Ball that he would end up here at all especially if its just to sit on the bench.

The nod should go to the guy who has been here working the whole time, if it was Sluka I’d say the same thing. He is QB number 2 if all things are being honest and if he dazzle’s in the summer they should cross that bridge if they get to it!

Why isn't Sluka here? I mean if he's legitimately finishing out the semester then why hold that against him.

Hold what against him?

Hajj is here working Sluka is not.
How in the world is that Hajj’s fault?
The contest has started and that should not be held against the man who has been here!

I’m tired of some here who want Sluka just because, if he makes up ground in the summer, fine but this race has already started and Hajj is in the lead!

This is Sluka's 4th year in college so hes graduating at the same time as a regular student.

I dont think anyone is holding anything against Sluka. The best ability is availability and Sluka is losing a lot right now by not being on campus. Friel is already loved by his teammates. Now Hajj-Malik has been on campus for months and is starting to get close with the team. Sluka will have to come in and catch up very fast and will have to win over his teammates trust and respect in a very short span of time. Sluka and his family knew this when they committed. But as of right now, we cannot say that Sluka is still the leader.

Spring ball does give you an advantage.
But there is a lot of time to get acquainted in the summer. Talent typically wins out. Not saying Sluka is obviously better, but he was the more impressive player last season.
Being with teammates is huge, but I'm sure Sluka is getting playbooks, film, etc.
QB is a different position, but it players often are late additions and start right away.

I lost a semester’s worth of credits transferring in from USC.
yeah, it is a total joke. A big money grab by the school. My niece transferred from NAU and lost entire years worth of credits. I had looked into transferring credits from Northeastern University when I slightly considered coming back and none of my semester of credits would have transferred.

You guys missed out on the good times I guess. I transferred in from Ventura JC in 1990 without taking an SAT and 13 transfer credits after 1 year in JC. 9 of which were PE and Basketball team credits.

Hey now that’s our Alma Mater you are talking about.. don’t you know we are the “Harvard” of the West! 😉

All schools play fast and loose on grad requirements. I went to school with a friend that all but flunked out at UNLV in the business school and somehow ended up going to USC where he ended up with around a 3.5 gpa average and graduated. Without question he wasn't very smart, but his family was really rich, owned a very large casino in Las Vegas along with many other businesses and properties. Most of the family had gone to USC, and they donated a lot of money to USC over many years, which guaranteed an easy entrance to USC along with a pass for great grades! You can just look at what Lori Loughlin, Felicity Huffman, J Mossimo Gianulli, and many others did to get their kids into USC using an admission consultant Rick Singer to do things like portray them as rowing recruits. Dumb as doorknobs, no problem, as long as you have connections, money, and don't get caught!

UNLV was a better school for my major.

USC is a great business school because rich people go there so they already have rich connections.

I said what I said.
This is 1000% true. I actually got accepted to USC after my first year at UNLV. My grades were garbage, well below their acceptance standard. But my dad was able to pay the tuition, so I 'somehow' got accepted. LMAO. I chose to stay at UNLV. It was probably a dumb long-term decision, one of many.

I got one better. I got accepted to UCLA on scholarship but stayed at UNLV.
This is what happens when you dont have either parent and have to make a decision like that as a 17 y.o.

Made the same decision except it was USC. Full financial aid package - got them to defer my entrance for a year but I chose to stay home at that point.

Agreed.

I did both. I learned much more at UNLV, but my USC piece of paper has had the biggest impact on my finances.

Great income, crippling student debt. I’m not sure if I would do USC again if I had to do it all over.

USC is private, as you know, so there was no applying for in-state tuition. The student loans were humbling at the time.
