It doesn't matter how good or bad UNLV is, how good or bad Wyoming is - this is always a tough trip because of the travel and location, the frigid cold, altitude and the tiny, but usually filled, arena. If that place is empty, as it has been at times, it's a huge break for the visitors.
I'm not liking the recent pattern of one step forward, one step back - using that logic, UNLV drops this game. Maybe using most logic, UNLV drops this game. We didn't exactly crack their skulls at the Mack, but we played reasonably well - up until the UNM road game, perhaps UNLV's best effort of the season?
I think this is the game where UNLV (and at SJSU on Saturday) takes consecutive steps forward - and get over that conference .500 hump.
Pretty soon teams are going to start and try and make Jojo's life uncomfortable and gamble with some fractured psyches. At this point, I wouldn't let Jojo beat me, because he can. I'd force Poyser, Clyburn, Green and others score the points.
In spite of the altitude, I'm going UNLV 76 Wyoming 72.
