The MW still has some scratch leftover to entice another school or two. Perhaps they could outbid the PAC for UTSA or something. Not sure if I think this is the best move for us in the long run, but whatever
Short term that is great money and could keep Odom in Vegas for a while, long term I’m not sure.
We aren't going to the Big 12. That's a pipedream.

The TemuPac12 is the same place too.So the Fertitta's spend +$35 million on an indoor practice facility to help us go to a better place. The Boyd Familly donating $6.5 million for an outdoor practice facility to help us go to a better place. All of that and here we are stuck in the same place. WTF!!!!!!!
Depends. Our tv deal ends in 2025-26, if the MW plays it right they could entice big market teams with bonuses as we got to hold them over until the new tv contract kicks in.Maybe but just like with the PAC UTSA is going to want to see financials and media deal estimates.
They get like 7 million a year now. So new deal would have to exceed that. Which it won't. So MWC will need to compensate that somehow.
And that's likely to be the case with all AAC schools.
I could be wrong.
But I'm guessing any rebuild will include CUSA teams.
Or, we just ****ed ourselves.Depends. Our tv deal ends in 2025-26, if the MW plays it right they could entice big market teams with bonuses as we got to hold them over until the new tv contract kicks in.
Has this dipshit been right about anything yet? $25-30M up and above everyone else?
Well we said the same thing just a few short years ago about the NFL coming to Vegas and about hosting the Superbowl. Just saying anything is possible. Just have to keep winning and improving the program. We aren't going to the Big 12. That's a pipedream.
Not if our annual media rights contract ends up being $1 million and the Pac-12 gets $10 million. The TemuPac12 is the same place too.
A possibility, the other possibility is unlv is living up to its name. Sticking it to the PAC would be amusing to watch.Or, we just ****ed ourselves.

If I was up in your neck of the woods I would gladly have some beers with you.Has this dipshit been right about anything yet? $25-30M up and above everyone else?
That said, if true I am major league bummed. The Pac-2 and our f-ing incompetent Commissioner have really screwed the pooch. My prediction, if UNLV doesn't jump to the Pac-12:
I need another beer......
- Your traitorous 5 do an about face and ask to come back home
- Pac-2 tries to hold them to whatever they signed. The traitors argue bad faith negotiation because we "promised" Memphis/Tulane, etc.
- The Pac-2 wallows for a while in self pity, then comes crawling like legless lizards to Gloria begging to join the MW. Gloria sez - OK, at 25% shares for life
- Or, we settle for Sacramento State and become the laughing stock of the FBS
Disagree. They're doing it to survive so they can collect a close to 200 million dollar payday from the Temu12... if we leave and AFA left, the conference dissolves. My guess is it's a MOU to get through TV deal negotiations without a grant of rights attached. We're now the powerhouse program of a conferenceWonder what kind of strings are attached to this…I imagine the MWC will be our home for a LONG time. They’re aren’t cutting a check like that and letting us walk out in 5 years. UNLV will regret this. We’ll be begging for a PAC invite before long.
The PAC can’t afford or attract any central/eastern time zone teams. They may have overplayed their hands. As of right now, nobody is shelling out to the conference 500-700 million contract. Not if our annual media rights contract ends up being $1 million and the Pac-12 gets $10 million.
You mean like we’ve played in since UNLV’s inception? Didn’t seem to be a problem when UNLV MBB marched to the NC playing the Big West high school gyms. Just sayin it’s not the end of the world.I won’t give a cent to this and I won’t spend a second watching them play high schools for the next decade
😂😂🤣 Surely you gestAll this will be forgotten when we're in the Sweet 16 in 2 years and dancing every year...
I don’t know if the new MWC will be better than the Sun Belt. Honestly I’d put us below the Sun Belt. We’ll be above CUSA and the MAC. That’s about it. This is going to be a bad football conference for a while at least.Whelp...
I can't say I'm surprised.
And before I hear about us positioning ourselves for the BIG12 realize so is everyone else.
Even those in the new BIG12.
Welcome NMSU, UTEP, LA TECH, TEXAS STATE...
From best G5 conference to a step up from the Sun Belt.
Well, we better fire CKK and get a coach that can get us to a Sweet 16.All this will be forgotten when we're in the Sweet 16 in 2 years and dancing every year...
I got 15 million to shop with.. who you want?Well, we better fire CKK and get a coach that can get us to a Sweet 16.
Perhaps that’s part of Harp’s plans with the $$$Well, we better fire CKK and get a coach that can get us to a Sweet 16.
LOL- I hope you’re right. I highly doubt it though. UNLV is run by idiots! No way we negotiated that kind of deal. Wait till the details come out tomorrow and we find out how long we’re here.Disagree. That and we better double or more Odom's salary. We won't be able to get another decent experienced coach into this conference.Perhaps that’s part of Harp’s plans with the $$$
