4 teams cannot sway the value that much. I do believe that is was 12 as reported by multiple sources with the 4 AAC schools. Only Memphis might have the argument of being better than all or most of the PAC as it is.

Remember the PAC had a 30 mil contact without the LA schools.

The big 10 PAC teams are perhaps worth the 50 they are getting now. Or close to it

The big 12 PAC teams are worth 30 in a similar fashion .

I don't think the drop off for the PAC 2 is that extreme. I think they may be worth 18 or even 20.

2 45-50mill teams 4 25-35 mil team and 2 20 mil teams will get you to 30 per team.

So replacing the AAC 4 with ony Memphis this being that much higher than the mean will not drop the payouts to half, especially you are considering you are replacing 4 with 2.

I think USU is worth about 5. They are average in the MW.

But I think the value is easily 8, probably closer to 10 right now. It will likely drop with their next add, unless they can still get some AAC schools of course.

So if the contact is worth 70 now in total even adding a team that is worth 0 it is till an 8.75 mil payout

It’s still going to be delicious if they end up at $10m or less, the MW gets $6m, and UNLV is getting $7.5m with an extra $15m-$20m in the bank.

I think even with this configuration, $12m is too high. Osu/wsu and Boise are a little over valued in this. $10m might be a little bit more tolerable in today’s market. I couldn’t imagine CBS stomaching $12m a year per school. They’re hemorrhaging money. Espn too.

With taking the middle of each range I got 12.3 million.

Ita sems like thr PAC's media partners are going from historical data. Osu and wazzu have great historical data. Plus the CW loves them and they do have infrastructure from the PaC 12 network that reduces costs.

Also again the PAC was offered 30 mil per year without LA. The gap between the schools was not that big.

12 million was mentioned a lot. I'm going to think that is what the original number for their first choice at 10.

There is a big reason the PAC are rebuilding. They don't want to share their worth with teams that bring nothing to the table. They have worth, at least they do right now. It doesn't matter to them if they are actually worth that. They just need that contract, then it is up to the networks to sell it.

I think the UNLV numbers were prior to this season. Every game UNLV wins will add to that number. Beat BSU and their number will drop, and if UNLV hasn't lost yet, then I could see their number jumping above any Monkey Pax2 team!

That would be pretty cool. I don't see the MW getting a baseline 6. I see the 4 that was reported when UTEP joined. And it is only up that due to inflation from out last contract.
I think we get 6.5 next year. Then 5.5 for the next 5 years.

If we do get a baseline 6, the Pac is getting 10-11 easy. And we won't have an extra 20 mil in the bank. We will have an extra 10-14. The rest is built into the payouts laid out above

If you use those numbers for the current Mountain West teams though, that would be much higher than our current contract.

According to the current deal, we get around $4 million annually, per team. It's 270 million for 6 years by 12 teams.

So if we took Boise at 14, SDSU 13, CSU 9.5, Fresno 9.5, USU 5, and UNLV 8.5, that adds up to 59.5 million. It's been said that Hawaii may be in the 6 range, so we'll add that in, and it's up to 65.5 million for 7 teams.

So even if we put the following teams in:
SJSU 5, Wyoming 2, UNR 3, UNM 3, Air Force 5.5, that would bring the MWC up to $84 million which would be 7 million per year, which is almost double what our current media deal is.
