Thats saying a lot considering we are 2-3 not 3-2.

How much run does our 'high school' coach get nationally if we make a bowl. I think its a pretty good story.

Im assuming the MWC wont be able to fill all of its slots this season, so if we go 6-6 we will be in a bowl somewhere. As bad as the MWC is, looking at our schedule 4-3 to close the season certainly doesnt seem as improbable as it was before the season began.

I'm still reluctant to look that far ahead but...

If Coach Sanchez gets us to 6-6 or even 7-5 I have to imagine he wins conference coach of the year.

Even if we miss out on a bowl, and finish 4-8 or 5-7 I think this season can be considered a really nice first step in the building of the program. I think the results from this year, notably the win over Reno should give a big boost to the upcoming recruiting class.

No, Jerry Faust with Notre Dame got to two bowl games winning 1(Liberty). Finished his career below .500.

He would be the first to do it in his first season though.
