At the end of the bench, you need somebody who can give five emergency minutes when necessary. Karl Jones and this guy aren’t it.O.2 blocks per game. 2.6 rebounds per game. Only played 2 minutes last season. Looks like someone who can keep Karl Jones company on the end of the bench. But also we can't have 11-12 people who expect to start or see minutes. As long as Cottrell stays healthy and plays like we expect him to and no other big man gets injured we are fine and don't need him.
Yeah agree. With our roster turnover each year this guy who has produced very little in 3 years at low mid major is a wasted scholarshipAt the end of the bench, you need somebody who can give five emergency minutes when necessary. Karl Jones and this guy aren’t it.
He'd set a hell of a pick !6’8” and 303 lbs. No thanks!
There are a ton of ”ifs” in this and if one of them happens, it could derail a good season! If that happens Kruger could go the way of Arroyo! There should be no excuses for underperforming this year, injuries included!O.2 blocks per game. 2.6 rebounds per game. Only played 2 minutes last season. Which is why we should be stocking the bench with guys who want to play and compete, not guys who are going to be OK sitting on the end of the bench...There are a ton of ”ifs” in this and if one of them happens, it could derail a good season! BingoThe only thing I can think of is he's friends with Jalen and Jalen wants him to come... both went to Clark, not sure the overlap
This!I would definitely like Ibrahima Diallo instead. I think your right @Masked_rebel looks like they friends from high school
That's not saying much... I never understood why Karl was here if he just sat on bench and why would we keep 2 Karl's on roster that desperately needs talent/playable talent at each spotBingo
I think he'd better than Karl. Karl looked like he never stepped on the court before at times
Jackson can play. Karl can't. I also never understood why Karl was on the team. It was definitely a desperation signing and a prayerThat's not saying much... Yes. Dedan and Eric are very close as well. It'll ultimately come down to UCLA and us for Eric. Pharoah and Eric are working on another player to join them here.
If Dedan ends up at UCLA, it’s likely we lose Eric to them right? Or would he stay here with Compton?Yes. Dedan and Eric are very close as well. It'll ultimately come down to UCLA and us for Eric. Pharoah and Eric are working on another player to join them here.
Dedan joined them on campus yesterday. Eric and Pharaoh were on campus today as well.
I'll put it like this so I'm not overspeaking lol. One player controls the fate of our program for the next 2-4 years. Both on the court and in recruiting. If Dedan ends up at UCLA, it’s likely we lose Eric to them right? Or would he stay here with Compton?
Are you trying to make me have a mental break down?I'll put it like this so I'm not overspeaking lol. One player controls the fate of our program for the next 2-4 years. Both on the court and in recruiting.
With that being said, don't worry about anything!
Taj from Durango. Like you said Dedan controls this all. If he comes they all come.Pharoah and Eric are working on another player to join them here.
There's an interview with the two LSU players, Angel Reese and another...they're returning to LSU instead of the WNBA. They both said "they're good" financially...So wait? Is Dedan a multi year player or one and done?
I think the situation is a lot different with the girls. Angel Reese is going to be making more at LSU than most of the wnba. The men that can make the jump and be good enough will make loads more than in college. But the ones like Dickinson will stay because the likelihood that they succeed at a high enough level in the nba is lower. I think it will just depend on the type of player. There's an interview with the two LSU players, Angel Reese and another...they're returning to LSU instead of the WNBA. Well that's more likely to do with the fact that he posted 4 photos in full UNLV game gear and "Go Rebels?"Twitter tweet from Compton with hash tag noncommited 2 hours ago
Taj is the one. It's really between SDSU and UNLV. If he gets into Harvard, they will be a factor but I personally don't think they'll land him.Taj from Durango. Like you said Dedan controls this all. If he comes they all come.
You forget that UNLV basically is the Harvard of the West. So there's that.Harvard or UNLV/SDSU? That's a huge swing academically lol. How does that happen?
Heard it's around Mother's DayIs there any timeframe for when we might expect a verbal announcement from the remaining players? Especially at the PG position?
