Whitfield and Harper You Have ONE Job Right Now.

Talk with AF and both of us talk with the AAC to find out if they would be interested in having us. The MWC just died. The Pac12 don't want us. Gloria did her best but she was out maneuvered.

You have to know that the MWC will never get the media revenue it has right now. And, that says a lot. We have to give our one year notice to leave this graveyard of a conference while we still have Odom and a decent looking football program.

Save our school. Save our student athletes. Save our fans. Save our Community.

You guys owe me lunch or a hooker!!

I knew something was off and I sat on my couch and didn’t move around. So at halftime, I went shopping at Winco.

My phone was low battery, couldn’t watch the game..

On the way back my cousin turned on the game and we were up by 3 and held on.

The look on their faces especially their women!!

Roommate quote. “better them than Us”

Screw Kansas, they got the Chiefs anyways to root for.

Big 12 in Vegas?

This probably went under the radar for some. But I wondered earlier in summer, why in the heck would the Big 12 hold their football media day in Las Vegas and at Allegiant stadium? There are plenty of big cities like KC, Orlando, Dallas or Houston in their foot print that are more than capable of handling the Big 12 media day, right? After the recent PAC 6 announcement, we all know UNLV should have been call no. 2 or 3 on the list. But UNLV wasn’t and why? The Big 12 commissioner comments at the media day are interesting and it appears the Big 12 is looking west and Vegas is part of the plan. Do they expand out west to 20 and add Cal and Stanford? What about SMU and UNLV? I do feel there is a void out west for P4 expansion.

My apologies to Bull

But I want to give props to Chittenden. A huge question mark and thought to be a weakness on our team coning into the season, but he has been solid. The first miss at Houston was bad and he missed that long one bad last night, but he has been better than expected.
He was a top 10 K recruit and I think he has a good future. I don't feel as comfy in FG situations kicking as the last 2 seasons yet, but I feel confident that he will make most of his kicks.

Theres no rule or written legislation that ties UNLV to Reno.

There is no written agreement or contract or declaration or any other document or form that says UNLV and Reno are joined at the hip in any conference talks.

Why the sudden talking point that were a package deal? Where did that come from? The realignment discussion has been ongoing for a decade and none of this came up. What is going on with our administration?

Pac-12 Rebuild Update...

Without UNLV, at least how Ross Dellenger reports it.

Washington State
Oregon State
Boise State
San Diego State
Fresno State
Colorado State

Maybe if we were UNLV State... or Las Vegas State.

Man. I would expect to be included in the next "round" but it's a gutting feeling to be "that far" from even a MWC+ version of the Pac 12.,..

Where we are at.

Quite frankly none of us know really.

All kinds of machinations going on behind the scenes.

Hard to make sense of any of it.

Possible scenarios of what we know and what we can only speculate.

We obviously know UNLV is currently not in the revamped PAC.

What we don't know is the why?

Were they not even considered? Seems very unlikely. Possible but pretty unlikely.

Did UNLV turn down an invite. Also Possible but highly unlikely unless...UNLV knows it's moving to the BIG12..Possible who knows.

Was UNLV not included in original announcement for monetary reasons? Possibly. Is PAC waiting to announce further expansion in an attempt to lessen potential exit fees?

I cannot imagine anyone at UNLV thinks remaining in the MWC is a viable option at this point. Because it isn't. Conference just lost two of its top football schools. SDSU is struggling now but was arguably best team in conference for a 3-4 year stretch not so long ago. You also lost your top basketball program and two others that have been solid.

AFA has to be considering a move to the AAC to join ARMY/NAVY at this point.

There really isn't much of a path for the MWC to reload even with an influx of exit fee money. There simply aren't any viable candidates to keep the conference viable. NMSU? Texas State? Rice? None bring enough to the table to lift the profile of conference. Not sure a new look MWC could broker a TV deal beter than what they currently have.

Purely a guess here..

Either UNLV will be announced later after they work out whatever hurdles there are.

Or

UNLV is in talks with Big12.

Otherwise Rebs are in huge trouble.

Anybody else have any thoughts on why things have played out the way they have so far? Or where they think this is going?

OT: OFF TOPIC Coronavirus

over the past week, ten days, I’ve been swamped by texts from people wanting to know how bad they should worry. A few threads about it here with comments, texts from people here, family, etc. Even in public, I’ve been asked by people I know.

I’m not a doctor but obviously I’m in a closely related field and have access to information regarding it.

My take is similar to what is in this claim - at this point in time - but this is a novel virus, so I’m positive thoughts will change and maybe very drastically, so keep that in mind. It can get worse if we aren't careful and I don't believe we are prepared for worse. I came across it just a few minutes ago, looks like it’s been out there for awhile, but I believe it to be succinct enough and spot on FOR RIGHT NOW. If it worsens, it could potentially be a life altering event most of us have never experienced. Viruses are nasty, nasty, nasty

If you are interested, take a look.

Like recruiting, this could change 180 degrees at the drop of a hat.

Haven’t seen much posted about this … maybe somebody knows?

I’m not talking about an assumption here.

Is having Nicco Fertitta as an assistant paying divdends? I mean, are the Fertitta’s taking special interest, are they backing heavily?

I’d assume so … but you gotta be careful about assumptions. Does anyone know for certain? Whether it’s NIL help, help with salaries, etc????

If they want to be our football T Boone’s, I’m all for it.

I mean, they got Sanchez the job and some rope … what about kin?
