So what is at stake?

We are fans, we can look ahead, players and coaches can’t. What would a win vs Boise do? First off, back into the top 25, home field advantage for the championship game. Both big deals. In addition, it keeps a whacky once impossible dream alive of the best of the bowls.

Look at the remaining schedule.

even with a loss vs Boise, UNLV SHOULD win the last 4 games of the season. A win against Boise and rolling through the last 4 games gives us a conference regular season championship outright and 11-1 record, and a home game conference bowl championship vs Boise.

Win that and you’re playing with the big boys, imo.

We can dream, right?

What a clown

Who strikes a Heisman pose in the first game of the season? Also who strikes a Heisman pose against Georgie Southern? Ashton Jeanty that’s who.
I hope Oregon puts the wood to Boise next week.
Boise State launched a Heisman Trophy campaign for Jeanty earlier this week, and he struck a Heisman pose in the end zone after his first touchdown of the year.

Reser Stadium/Oregon State game.

Out side of more lights and being on campus...It was Sam Boyd.

No. I'm not joking.

Goes back to what I've said for years. Sam Boyd was on par with a lot of stadiums around the country. Honestly Sam Boyd had better amenities than Northwestern's stadium that had actual porta potties in the concourse.

Location was always the problem. Well that and losing.

BSU SHOWDOWN

Woke up this morning not thinking about last night’s game but THIS week’s game. Short Friday turnaround. I’m already beginning to feel amped up for this game. Hope our players rest up today. Any injuries coming out of last night? One of our offensive linemen was helped off the field and he appeared to have trouble putting weight on his right leg. Can’t recall who it was. Any other injuries?

As the dust settles, after a decent sample size now

… my primary concerns are …

…. Red zone offense, like really red zone, inside the 10. We get … nervous, conservative? Scared?

… The prevent when we have a lead. I hate it. I don’t like playing entire second halves so soft ….

… last five minutes, tighter games … we look scared, the only goal seems to be the clock, not the stop ….

… Slow starts … in too many games. Tonight we spotted then 11 points.

…. Soft in the short to midrange passing game. Thankfully, tackling is much better, but we give up too many short chunks that add up …

… overall, in tight games, we seem to play not to lose instead of establishing finality ….

… not level headed right now, probably best not to consider the above. Too drunk. Topping off with 4 nervous beers in the last four minutes probably makes for bad takes ….

I’m ****ing stoked right now. I know I said a win isn’t a big deal and I’d be disappointed had we lost, it Is a big deal.
